Good setup - Shit yield?

Hey guys, the tops were close enough to the bulbs without burning them. They got burnt a little in the beginning, but nothing serious. Oh and yes they were ripe and juicy when I cut the tree's down. The pistels were just turning brown/red and receding back into the bud.

So if I was to buy another 600Watt x 2 grow lamps would that be sufficient for 20 plants?
Roughly how many grams would I get under 2175 watts in total off of 20 plants? growing for 2 months and then flowering. Just an average?

Whats the maximum a singular plant can feed from watts, until its overkill. Like could you have 1000 watter for 1 plant? :O
Loving all the feedback, thanks guy :)

As a general rule you need 50 to 75 watts per square foot. Since you are in 5 gal. pots, 4 plants are about max for 600w.

Ahh okey, yeah 4 plants at 2 months will be quite bushy aswell :).

Is that really possible though, well possible I mean 2 months veg yielding 3 oz a plant easily?
Maybe use a vertical light in between the 4?

i veg for 3 weeks and get more than that.
if you are vegging for 2 months i would consider 2 plants per 600w unless you lst them.or maybe try scrog.

You seem fixated on the notion of running 20 plant. More plant does not mean more bud. You're writing cheques your brain can't cash.

Urmmm Fixated? Nope!
Read above and I say '10 Plants'

'Thats with 2 months veg? Thats sexy shiz :P
I would like only 10 plants but with 3oz a plant.

Think thats achievable with 2000 watts of light :P'

But I do agree 10 plants under 2,000 watts sounds good :)

Vegging for 2 months would be an enourmous bush, Plus plants crave 3 main elements in the soin also in fertilizer, (n) Nitrogen (p) phosourus (k) potasium. then braking down into silicon boron iron magnesium zinc etc. i dont think your soil would have much of these plus watering them these nutes if any would of been all used in like 2 weeks in the soil, Fertilizers are really cheap now days, i would reccomend dutch Pro as its easy to use at 1ml per Litre on all Additives and a very easy Grow guide. Maintaining Ph (5.8) is vital as this breaks down the food for the plant and is digusted easily. E.C leves are crucial Grow guides will tell you what E.C reccomended at the right Stages. In Genreal VEG > E.C 0.8 - 1.2 FLOWER > E.C 1.2-1.6 on the safe side. Also Fresh Air movment is crucial giving your plants fresh Co2 you want 20X Air changes an hour but considering most people use HPS lighting and they give off Heat The Exhausts and intake Fans will Easily do this.

As previous posts are saying Energy does really = Yield in the right enviroment for the particular plant growing. In genreal no colder than 18'C light off no more than 26'C MAX Lights on with humidity at 60-80% MAX Veg and 40-60% flower these conditions will give a gram per Watt (Energy) in a 4ft x 4ft square area ( This means it doesnt matter how many plants you put in). A method called SCROG which you could find how to do will train your plant to fill the cannopy so no energy (light) is wated. These simple things is giving a plant a stress free Cycle meaning MAXIMUM YIELDS !!!!
Wow! Thanks so much man. This info will help me alot!.

Currently using a dehumidifier and a humidifier. But theres 'wet' 'cosy' and 'dry' settings :O Dont know if wet is too wet. Would need to be a humidity tester. Will buy that after work along with a PH tester me thinks :).

Thanks again man :)!

WW have pretty extreme phenotypes. The different pheno types all have different flowering times. The average time for WW is 8-9 weeks.

Yeah, they take quite along time to flower, not my cuppa tea :P
What would you recommend for the quickest flowering time?
Ive been looking at critical mass, any good?

This is why you had shit yield. First off, energy=yield. It doesn't matter if the plant gets 3 pounds if you don't have the light source to support it, that's why success is measured in grams per watt. Plus, vegging plants for a long period of time in 5 gallon pails doesn't mean you'll get a huge yield. Every part of a plant uses energy. The larger the plants are the more energy the plant needs. You've got 20 plants in 5 gallon buckets vegged for 7 weeks, That's at least a 2000 watt grow! Hell, it could be a 4000 watt grow to get the maximum bud per plant. So see, you're energy isn't sufficient for the size of the garden. The plants use every ounce just to maintain there size. Plus, how far was the light away from the plants? To cover that foot print it must have been quite far. A 600 watter should be as close as possible to the top of the plants without damaging them, like 10 inches, and not more than 36 inches away. You know that light dissipates exponentially so at 10 inches there's 50,000 candles per foot, at 3 feet there's only 4000! Did you use any flowering nutes or just soil throughout the grow? You need to use P and K during flowering. Don't feel bad, These are common mistakes for first timers. Try growing 4 or 5 plants in 5 gallon buckets with the light closer.
You got it ;-)

Im also of my first grow and I started out with miracle grow, noticed that it was alot harder to maintain a decent plant in that soil, once i re potted into FF the growth was alot more noticeable and healthier. Maybe more light like above me is saying + better soil? Speaking with not alot of experience just opinions
