So my friends gave me some seeds from what we were smoking on new year's and I have germed three out of three seeds. 3 have been planted out. Some pics.

From the indoor seedling stage to the transplanted one I have only used Pseudomonas solution. The transplanting holes contain some compost, dried cowdung+ Trichoderma + Azotobacter+a little Rock Phosphate+ a sprinkle of vermicompost. This mixture is beneath a layer of soil at the bottom of the pit. I don't want my plant to reach there and die of all that excess shit. Maybe after a month of root growth, it will get it's reward. Slow release is preferred too.

Let's see how these folks do ;-)

Have a Good Day!

UPDATE!

5 weeks into flowering, Sativa dominant strain, I believe.

The bud growth is slow, this was the smallest of my plants. Only could initiate one topping and have 4 main shoots. Did defoliation yesterday, hope the plant gets a little active.

It's hard to spot the plant but the root zone is clear of other plants.

I have some Idukki Kush (Gold) with me now and am planning to grow that. Maybe in another thread. Posts will be active till harvest.

This grow have been wonderful, expanding horizons and learning from my mistakes. Totally a noob when I came here. now "totally" is gone. Just a noob remains :) From stressing out the plants to root rots and pests, I have learned my part and understood the basics. Am glad to be a part of this community. My bros, my knowledgeable friends and everyone, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for fulfilling a dream.

Happy to help anyone who is finding their path, let's walk together.:bigjoint:

Peace and Love,
Toker.

Hey RIU sup!!

Hello from me and my lovely plant. I am into 57th day of flowering (or 60) and the Trichomes are not like those I have seen in the pictures. It has a long stalk and no bulbous protrusion at the end. I have taken pictures but not that clear.

Today we Indians are celebrating the day of Lord Shiva and I feel good to harvest today. But as this is a Sativa strain and I don't see much THC loaded in the Trichomes, I might wait another week. Experienced growers please let me know what you feel.

This was a bag seed, so from my observations, a Sativa dominant. The Trichomes are plenty, but the ones on top of the Cola re not loaded yet. The ones below are past harvest window I guess. The pistils are retrieving into the Calyx.

So my doubt is, if I wait another week, will there be an increase in filling up of THC in Trichomes? The red pistils are more than 80%, but the remaining white pistils are milky or not loaded with THC or whatever it is inside them.

Please do let me know your thoughts.

It is a small plant you know, and am amazed by the fruity smell it has. Smells like raw mango and an early harvest was a clear head high. We were laughing and fooling around, had a lovely time. :)

The Trichomes pic look shitty, as soon as I find the data cable for the Cam, I'll post some good pics.

1- Red pistils 2. Clear pistils 3. LMAO! From cloudy and red at tip pistil 4. Clear, CLoudy & resin filled Trichomes 5&6. Randomzz

So if you guys can identify a strain by looking at the Trichomes, this would be very helpful for other growers and me too.

I have decided to harvest in three days, just the top colas and I want to retain this plant. If I cut off the colas, will it be back to veg cycle? I am aiming at a sativa which is more or less balanced on THC:CBD ratio. So I guess this is pretty much couch-lock now ;) Your views and feedback are my fuel. Keep them coming.

I am not worried about the yield, I guess my next batch of Indica will yield me well.

Thank you everyone for joining the ride. I have some Indica "Mysore Mango" coming soon I hope. :weed:

Love & Peace,

Toker.

Glad to hear you are enjoying your plant !

The plant does look a little young. Some sativas can take 10+ weeks to finish. If you can, you may go longer than 3 days.
Your pictures do show some odd trichs. I have not seen that shape before. If you are getting some amber, maybe you can harvest soon.

You said it was bagseed, and it kinda looks like it. I would like to see some more 'frost' (trichs) on the buds. Maybe next time consider some name-brand genetics.

Cutting the colas off will not revert the plant back to veg. Some cut the top flowers off to give the lower flowers more time to mature.

Thanks a trillion Mr.wood :)

It is a very small plant just 30cms in height maybe. The trichomes are developing more in number from the last week. Am gonna go maybe another two weeks because am seeing some new pistils form.

The bud which was harvested with 20% of pistils in amber was purely energetic high. Getting name-brand genetics is not an option for now, but I do have some popular Indian weed, Mysore Mango & Idukki Gold.

So the trichomes are new to your eyes huh, maybe a new species of sativa? Sad that I don't have a clone from it. Noob mistakes I guess, anyway am learning it.

Here's some pics for you taken today!

I might take the top colas next week. The pistils are turning brown and curling inwards, should I take that into account or the trichs on the leaves should develop more of the beautiful frostiness? Confused now.

Thank you for your help brother.

Love & Peace,
Toker.
