Good NPK ratios for veg?

I've been reading lots & lots of info about nutrient feeds for our beloved MJ plants but find a lot of different ratios?

I've been using (DM gold range one grow)
With a NPK ratio of 1-0.7-3 but I feel my plants are a little light on the new growth,

Recommended dose is 8ml/L (STANDARD FEED)=700 ppm @.5 using RO WATER

10ml/L (AGGRESSIVE FEED) =900ppm @.5 using RO WAYER

I've had a few root issues that are now under control and I'm feeding at 5ml/L and dosing with 1/4 strength CALMAG pro
110g/L Ca
97g/L Mg (NO ADDED NITROGEN)

I'M ALSO USING 4.3% H202

FINAL PPM & PH
PPM 630
PH 5.8

the strain I'm growing is BARNEY'S blueberry Og and they are 5 weeks from sprout' 22days in the DWC planter 70L filled 60L

Some if the middle growth on the plant looks lifeless in places and rather pail looking? The upper part and the new growth are reaching for the light but nothing lower?
I'm using a 250w mh in a cool tube at 18" and a little 50w draw full spectrum LED at 18"/20"
Water temp is 18c
Room temp is 24c
Humidity is 45% 60%

Yeah, its looking hungry. I'd increase the NPK part of whatever you are feeding a tiny bit. It looks OK on micros and pH. Maybe a little magnesium light, but it is more likely just low on the NPK.
Alternatively, you could increase the number of waterings but make them smaller. This would require some automation.

Wants the Cal/Mag your holding back.
N-P-K = UP- DOWN - ALL AROUND

Hi, I'm in DWC so watering is all down to the girls since I've got a 70L res filled with 60L for the girls to drink from

Ive got a product called DENSITY CALMAG it's strong stuff , 1ml/L in RO is 430 ppm
I dosed the girls with 20ml CALMAG & 250ml grow for a total ppm of 630

Recommended dose is a little higher but since I added 20ml of CALMAG I thought 3/4 dose of veg nuts would be OK

I'm only using 300w of light not 1000w wich is what all these feed charts are based on I think? Going a little weaker is always the right way is it not?

The plants look nice, just figure out a way to increase the nutrient level a little without burning them from stepping it up too much.
Start weak, increase gradually so you are able to go to full dose at flip to 12/12

I've just bumped the calmag up 80ppm so now my total ppm is 700
We will see how they go the next day or so
This density calmag is strong stuff ' 110g/L of CALCIUM
97g/L of MAGNESIUM
Added AMINO ACIDS & SWEETNESS ??
Don't ask how much of the other 2 because not even on there website it states the % of nither one AMINO OR SWEETNERS?

No! added nitrogen is why I purchased this product because I always seem to over do it with nitrogen when growing in soil & coco so' didn't want to take any chanced in dwc

These are the root shots at 22days in the system, both plants suffered root problems do to light leaks from the net pots having gaps between the hydroton and also when I hooked up all the airlines there was gaps around the lid where it wasn't shut lol Noob mistakes!!


I've got the waterline 1" lower than the net pot but not sure weather I should drop it further?

The roots are about 2ft long and float to the cerface from the pressure of the airstones 'is this normal?

I have 8 airstones and 3 pumps
1x 20 lpm
1x 7.5 lpm
1x 5 lpm
Total 32.5 lpm of air movement & bubbles

Once the roots grow lots more will they weigh down and sit on the bottom?

I'm using a product called SILVER BULLET ROOTS 4.3%h202 and some "magical shit that helps the h202 last longer than usual h202 products? Supposed to be active for upto 5 weeks but recommends dosing again at 2weeks?

I would increase the air gap down. Don't be shy with 3". With the splash up, shits always wet.

Also wanted to ask' if like in the picture ubove in my first post of the roots and res water level, where would you drop the water level too? At the moment it's filled with 60L and is about 1" to 1.5" below the net pot?
Should I drop it to 50L and 3" to 4" below the nethe pot?

If I'm to lower the level ' should I lower it in one go or over a few days?
I've hered that OG and OG crosses can be hungry for calmag at times and crave lots?
The calmag product I'm using is very strong at the recommended dose if 1ml per litre in RO water with a [email protected] is 400
The recommended dose for DM gold grow is 8ml per litre in RO water with a [email protected] is 800
Total 1200 ppm =Ec 2.4

Do I subtract 400 ppm of calmag from 800 ppm of grow nutes to achieve the recommended feeding ppm of 800?

Surely 1200 ppm in week 5 from sprout is WAY!! to much?

I'm veging under a 250w mh and a 50w full spectrum led giving me a total of 300w from the wall ' lights are 18" to 20" ubove the plants with minimal stretching, is the amount of light relevant to the amount of nutrients the plants will eat?

I know that most of these feeding charts were designed based on gardens with 1000w mh/hps and maybe there is truth behind lower wattage lamps and lower ppm feedings?

I run with a 3" gap. Just drop the level over a couple days. I run Modified Lucas Formula in DWC. Not familiar with your nutes. With my feeding, 900 PPM. is a good range @ week 5.

I've been using a h202 product at its recommended dose but I'm seeing slight yellowing of the roots not pure white like your supposed too?
I'm using synthetic nuts that don't change the colour of the solution so I'm thinking I'm keeping the net pot to wet and the top of the root structure & bottom of the steam might be getting to wet? There us a slightly "sickly smell from the net pot but I do have to put my nose right next to it to smell anything fishy?

I'm was due a top up on h202 tomorrow so I brought it forward a day.

I will be dropping the water level tomorrow from 60L to 50L with a fresh res change

I keep thinking my plants have problems lol I'm loving them too much I think?

I see your in Kiev. Don't know how much commerce you do with the US, but this is what you want to help protect your roots. I run it in 90 degree solution in my cucumber tanks. Never have a rot issue. Plenty of threads on it.
