Just a hypothetical I'm curious how you would answer..

What if a black business owner on the bottom floor of a 5 story building has a fire, but the only firemen that show up are white and he doesn't want any of them inside his business to put out the fire, what happens to the other 4 floors?
You're confusing public service with private business.
Public services are bound by the constitution to serve all of the public.

So hypothetically had that bill passed in AZ a gay fireman would have been bound to put out a fire in a store that wouldn't serve him?

Yes he would.
That would also be true that a bible thumping fireman would have to put out a fire at a gay bar.

what if he's in kansas?

http://www.slate.com/blogs/outward/2014/02/13/kansas_anti_gay_segregation_bill_is_an_abomination.html

In addition to barring all anti-discrimination lawsuits against private employers, the new law permits government employees to deny service to gays in the name of “religious liberty.”

good job, you bigoted fucks.
It's obvious to me that is intended to make the lives of homosexuals unbearable, why don't they just escort them to the state line and be done with it because it's apparent the intention is to run them out of state.

"Republican state Rep. Charles Macheers proclaimed that “discrimination is horrible. It’s hurtful. … It has no place in civilized society, and that’s precisely why we’re moving this bill".-

He's an idiot, do these people actually believe the shit they talk. That sentence is contradictory on so many levels.

As mentioned in the piece it won't be safe for any two guys to walk down the street.

If someone had told me a month ago this is what goes on in certain states in the US I would have said they were mixing the US up with an African or Arab country, I genuinely would not have believed it.

They can't even sue and could be ruined financially if they tried, my knowledge of US law lacks but surely that is unconstitutional.

our right wing hates the constitution and secretly loves sharia law, as long as it is implemented under christian ideation.

in case you didnt know, a large portion of our 50 states is a bunch of backwards ass rednecks that think Obama is trying to take their guns but George Bush was their friend somehow...its hard to imagine the people of Arizona really wanted this, it sickens me!!!! also the Gov. nowadays does not care what is unconstitutional, it actually seems like they are trying to take a shit of the Constitution itself.

If this law had passed, I was hoping a ton of muslims would move to AZ and start turning away "indecently dressed" christians. Then the hypocrisy would have been brilliantly pointed out.

Sharia law is exactly what it sounds like.
All those religious right wing nut jobs should be secretly sterilised, it's no worse than than their own proposals.
Who the fuck in their right mind would want to live there.

There was plenty of people opposed to this. I think part of it is the fact that AZ is a popular retirement area. You have a ton of older folks that have nothing better to do but vote based on the values of yesteryear.

Which is why I think voting is stupid. A vote doesn't make something moral, it only makes it potentially illegal. People in packs tend to gravitate to the extremes and are easily swayed by only a few individuals. So besides not changing reality, voting does more harm than good. Also, you can buy votes. But yet it's illegal bribe a politician, which is bribing only one person not a pack.

Ever heard of the constitution party?

The Constitution Party is a right-wing and theocratic political party in the United States.[SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][2][/SUP][SUP][3][/SUP][SUP][4][/SUP][SUP][5][/SUP] The party asserts that the US is a Christian nation founded on the Bible and that US jurisprudence should be restored to what the party claims is its "Biblical foundations".[SUP][6][/SUP] The Constitution Party advocates a platform which reflects the Party's understanding of the principles set forth in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States, the Bible, and the Bill of Rights.

Well, America is a big tent of Inclusiveness but we always maintain a Nut Tent out back.

unfortunately, the right is not known for its inclusiveness..
Not now. But, they need to stop saying big tent and have a tent inside the Big Casino Tent of Inclusiveness beyond ,mere Party bickering. You know. Actual America.

And true, many from all sides are confined to the Nut Tent. And we all can watch it, live feed from back there, on CSPAM, FOGGS, SINN, etc

ahhhhhhhh, lots of things in play on that one. There is a difference between a public servant and/or one that is bound by a code of ethics or the Hippocratic Oath and a private business owner who has sacrificed and worked his butt off to be told by a group of control freaks who he can and can not serve one of crafted cakes too.

FWIW, not all doctors take the Hippocratic Oath nor are they bound legally to do so.

So, true. My Dr friend, is also JD and LtCmrNavy, sep. He never took the Oath, for Officers. He never spent a day in Boot Camp, never qualified for any weapon or tactic. Never learned salute, drills or insignia. He went straight from finishing all course work, to being a Navy Hospital Doctor, all in one week.

He never took the Hippocratic Oath. He didn't even own a Lt Uniform for the 1st year, and then had to spring for Parade Dress,.
