Good Height

Ive read that about 18 inches is around the height that should be the limit for growing. I have snipped the ends off my plants as they are growing in the veg period, but even doing that a couple of them still seem to be growing maybe too high, is that normal ?

that really depends on your growing environment, and strain..... and how big you want your plants to become?

we have outdoor growers that grow 10-12 feet monsters, while others grow in a PC and limit the height to 12-18 inches

how big is your grow room?

The only limitation on height is the height of your space and the power of your light.

How tall is your flower space? When you put your plants into flower, they will double or sometimes even triple in height, so keep that in consideration. Also, if you're growing under small CFLs for instance, you don't want your plant very tall, as the light won't be able to penetrate deeply enough.

'Topping' your plants as you've done by cutting them, will make them grow bushier with more colas, but more bushy means less light penetration as well.

I've got a main grow light in the middle and a fluorescent on both sides.
