Silver has fallen almost a dollar today. Anyone going to buy soon? I'm thinking I will start buying at around $15.

I buy and hold for the long haul so I'm flexible.

Edit: down $1.08
If it breaks $18.00 in the next few days I would wait longer. If it doesn't wait a few more days

That is the smartest thing you can do, IMHO. And yet it is one of the hardest things for people to understand. Kudos to you for being able to remain emotionally detached, even though I disagree with the idea in the first place (unless one is actually trying to trade it)... ;)

If it breaks the $18 support level it will go lower. I'm just not exactly sure how much lower it can go right now. but I myself didn't think it would even get this low.

I believe it will go lower. I stack mainly as an investment for my daughter so I'm in a long term position. It's probably not the best investment but it allows her to learn how to save. She gets to pick the silver she wants and she can watch her stack grow over the years. I started when silver was at $9 but I don't think it will ever get that low again. Gold is starting to look appealing.

If any of you buy physical metals where do you usually buy from? Apmex, Providence, ebay? What form do you like to buy?

I like apmex ebay.

I'm weary of ebay many fakes floating around out there from Morgans to Bars.

Apmex is a reliable source, but you pay for that in mark up. They price cull coins pretty cheap and Apmex Bars are relatively cheap.

Apmex's ebay store is reliable and you can get better deals on the same products. Worth a look if you're in the market for something.

I bet apmex is losing all kinds of money right now.
They are and it reflects in their premiums. There are still some good deals on apmex but you have to check the site multiple times a day to find them. I look to a couple of guys on youtube that point out the good deals.

Apmex is where I get mine also. ( I used to have an issue with collecting sunshine bars)

Another good investment at least in Colorado.

AMMO - you wouldn't believe what crazies pay in markup because they think the government is buying it all up. They don't realize it is they that are buying it all up. I have invested in ammo for about 10 years and demand is always there.

Brass to a certain degree... not as many reloaders as hoarders so a tougher sale on a consistent basis.

I think this is the bottom. Silver is gaining again but Gold is falling/ stagnant.

I can always be wrong.

Yeah it's up today. Seems to be up by the end of the day but fluctuates as much as a dollar during the trading day. I'm going to sit tight and wait. I have seen it move up a couple of dollars and then fall right back down. This is when patience is in short supply.

Gold has been steadily falling for sure. I'm liking it. If I see gold below $1000 I'm in. Well maybe $1100.

LOL good point about the ammo. Paranoia can fuel a market. Ammo is good though because there is always a market for it. I am always looking for good investment ideas.

The industrial demand for gold has out paced gold production for over the last 30+ years........my foster son is in the gold mining business in Elko, Nv.......

I sold almost 50,000 rounds of 22lr last month at auction. They were going for about $100 per 1,000 after seller premiums. Cost me about $20 per 1,000. I have thousands of rounds of 7.62x25, 5.56, 7.62x51, and 8mm Mauser. While I choose to keep them since they are irreplaceable, they have easily increase 500% in the last 5 years.

I saw a video of a guy with a metal detector over in Australia who picked up a 5 oz nugget off the top of the ground in the desert.

My son actually owns a mining construction business. They build & repair mining equipment, & business is booming......some mines have re-opened that had been closed for 100 years.

Then how would your foster son reconcile this information from the WGC?

Note the small green components of the aggregated demand...
