going from a sweet to sour smell any way to reverse/stop?

Seems the buds have turned kind of sour instead of sweet from being in a plastic bag for 2-3 days. Is there a way to reverse it by burping it in a jar? Or am i just stuck with the smell? Any help appreciated thanks!

first of all, take it out of a plastic bag and put it into a glass jar asap.. plastic is no beuno for curing..

Like the good folks mentioned above, put in mason jars, mine stay in jars year long, only removing some to put in a smaller jar for my daily smoke.
I always keep a Boveda Humidipak to maintain proper humidity, and my jar for everyday smoking is a C-Vault, prevents dry smoke.

Thanks for the info everyone. Its some blue og. I took it out of the plastic bag when I smelled it and put it in a jar. Burping it every 6-12 hours. Already smells better. Will have to try boveda humidipaks only have heard good things about it.

Update...smells worse. More sour is present. When I crack it open it smells fine but the outside smells off. Anyone know what causes it? Too much heat/moisture?
