Going around in circles. How did you do it? Seems impossible.

My Dr. wants nothing to do with medicinal cannabis ie; signing forms etc... and neither do other doctors I tried in walk-in clinics. And Compassion Clubs all want a signed form from a Dr. etc... WTF? Going around in circles here, how does one do it?

Hi Pulp, welcome...
I had the same problem under the mmar so I ended up using a skype doc through a cannabis clinic. It cost me almost $500 but gave me a grow license so it was worth it. I used 'mcrci' in Vancouver but there are lots of choices. Here is a link to some. Good luck!

Thank you Chris. That is fantastic news as I'm in Ontario. That's a hell of a lot of money but I'm at my wit's end. I guess it's a necessary evil in prohibition times. Thanks again!

did you try this place?

http://cmclinic.ca/

can't see a problem really unless you are going about it the wrong way......
On second thought, not viable, this is the problem I run into ALL THE TIME:

"There is no fee to see a physician at CMClinic, although we do require a referral from your family physician or specialist."

Thank you for trying though!

Sure spider, but your GP was willing to send those files. Mine wants nothing to do with it, as most aren't.

They also have to legally provide you with a copy of your medical records if requested(in my case it was something like 12-cents per page) Then you can send to whoever else you decide to go with. For what it's worth, I used Do No Harm clinic, it was $99 said and done. Sent off 4-5 pages of my medical history(diagnosis etc..) and that was that.

Dont even bother pulp
You will be paying out the ass to be part of a system that sucks. If you can id wait it out, buy black market til the court cases clear up.
I was and am going through the same thing now cept apparently now all the drs are using thc caps for new patients.
That creates a whole new circle to run around.

Oh really, I can demand my GP to refer me? Ok!
request is a better way but if he says no...then demands are what's needed!
There shouldn't be an issue as I said unless there are things you're not saying.... :)

Well, that's not a problem once you get a card, Compassion Clubs. But you need to get a card or DR. diagnosis first. I know, craziness for 50 year old man who needs better medicine!

That is another issue I dealt with. I only needed to provide proof of my medical condition but not a referral. You can request a copy of your medical file from your doctor and submit the relevant information. It'll piss your doctor off, but fuck 'em.

I had to demand mine give me a referral.. Just be careful..that the doctor you are being referred to is still
working....
I waited a year and a 1/2 for the doctors office I was referred to ....to call me to set up an appointment...
Thing was the doctor had retired...a month before my doc referred me.
The doctors secretary kept telling me they would call and the doc I was referred to would not accept any phone calls from patients.
So on my next visit to my doctor I again demanded a referral...and I was handed a photocopy of names and numbers of
doctors that would prescribe...and told to call any or all of them if I liked...I was like WTF....
Anyhow I took it and ended up calling Dr Kammermanns...office and found out he had been charged by the opp
and was no longer doing mmar....paperwork...
His secretary though hooked me up with a consultant...who set me up with a lawyer....and then the lawyer arranged
a meeting with a doctor... They were not cheap either.1000.00 plus gst...but after more than a year and a 1/2 of being run around....
I finally had my paperwork signed...
Mind you I qualified 6 ways to sunday.....which I knew I would....but it was completely unfair....the whole process...
was riddled with hurdles....and red tape......nothing I would call reasonable access.
Good luck as you go forward,,,
