What is the North American Union ?
Category: North American Union (NAU)
The NAU ( North American Union ) is still in the works. This means there is still time to write your local elected officials and tell them that you do NOT support a future NAU. A group called the SPP ( www.spp.gov )has created the model for the union and has been attending meetings in Canada for the last year or two regarding the creation of the NAU. The idea behind a NAU would be to unite Canada, The United States, and Mexico into a union mirroring the current EU ( European Union ). This would include common borders, common currency, and common security in addition to any number of possibilities. At this time little is known. There has been talk about the ” Amero ” being the planned union currency which would almost certainly would replace the U.S. Dollar here at home. If this ever happens, you can certainly expect to be disappointed with the Dollar - to - Amero exchange rate.
Let’s look at some tell - tale signs of a coming NAU: First we have the issue of lack of border security here in the states. The general population overwhelmingly supports securing our borders an removing illegal aliens. President Bush signed a bill allocating funds to build a wall over a 700 mile stretch of the border. This wall is still not built. Our politicians still have done next to nothing to secure our borders six years after 9/11. How many reasonable people have scratched their heads and wondered why our government still sits on it’s collective hands while thousands of foreign unknowns flood our southern border each day?. Are they Mexican? Are they Middle Eastern? Who knows. Part of the answer is that many politicians seek to grant amnesty thereby creating a whole new voter-base that will remember who gave them their citizenship. On the other hand why spend all these dollars on keeping America safe and illegals out when in a few years everyone in Mexico could have a pass allowing them travel to and from anywhere in the three countries of this future union. This is one of the realities of any future union. We already have Mexican trucks allowed to travel anywhere in the U.S. to deliver their cargo. Time will tell if this turns out to be as bad as most people think it will. These trucks are not required to have U.S. certified emissions or safety systems and their drivers are not required to have a U.S. driver’s license of any kind. They are not even required to speak enough English to assure they can read all road and warning signs. But these trucks are now barrelling down your streets and highways. Sounds pretty bad to me. And this will only get worse if a union provides limitless tickets into the U.S. to our not - so - safe neighbors to the south.
The Canadian factor is considerably better at this point. For years Canada and the U.S. have been harmonizing their safety standards covering everything from pesticides to vehicle safety. The laws of our two nations are very similar in many aspects. In my humble estimation there would be relativly few Canadians rushing the borders to enter the U.S. Economic conditions are fairly equal between us, and this makes for a smoother transition. Any loss of identity or civil rights would make this kind of union completely unimaginable to most people. Why fix what isn’t broken? Who would benefit from such a union?
The biggest benefactors of such a union would most likely be large U.S. corporations, politicians, and the entire country of Mexico. First let’s look at the corporate aspect. Would new laws stemming from such a union allow American companies to make more money? Almost certainly. Look at what they are able to accomplish by paying off our U.S. congress members. Imagine if they were able to throw their money around with more freedom in Canada and Mexico. More relaxed regulation, more jobs shipped south of the border, the whole thing spells bad news for middle class Americans.
And of course we have the U.S. politicians. There have been rumors circulating that part of an NAU would allow politicians to alter the Constitution or create new union - wide laws to circumvent the Constitution altogether. This would effectively allow the government to ” reset ” our country and our level of freedom to whatever they see fit. This of course would be devastating to America and cannot be allowed happen - even as they smile and tell you that this is for your ” safety “.
Lastly we have the country of Mexico. Our amigos to the south. They would probably benefit the most out of the deal. They will be given free roaming privileges throughout North America, and will most likely have no problem coming straight to the U.S. and legally working. And they will come by the millions. Currently we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants, which in reality is probably closer to 20 million. And this is during a time when our government promised to make us safer after 9/11. Six years later and all you have to do to smuggle a nuclear weapon into the U.S. is to walk it across the U.S. - Mexican border along with the thousands of Mexicans who cross daily. What is the Dept. of ” Homeland Security “ doing again? Besides spying on American citizens I mean. Anyhow the point is the unsafe vehicles, drugs, crime, and problems of Mexico will be unleashed upon North America. This will be the killing blow to the middle class as well as to your health and safety.
Please feel free to add comments regarding the NAU.

Looks like Congress is finally making a half-hearted effort to stop this from happening....
