Gnats Gonna Kill them

You know everytime I water my plants I would see a few gnats and think nothing of them.

After doing a search on Miracle Grow Soil I found out that thats probably where the gnats came from.

Anyway I am gonna go get some Hot Shot No Pest Strip and diatomaceous earth, maybe even some play sand also.

Anyway I was wondering how to apply the diatomaceous earth.

Should I use it with the sand also.

I am not sure and hopefully someone can give some instructions

what the fuck is dichotopotomus earth?

but let me know what works cuz i have the little bastards too

I went to lowes and bought Hot Shot No Pest Strip plus the diatomaceous earth

I only used the pest strips and they are gone.

I didn't use the diatomaceous earth because it says you need a breather mask and gloves. But they are gone

Fungus gnat larva live in the soil and are bad for roots. They thrive in wet soil, so if you let it really dry out between waterings it can kill them. Last time I had them, doing that, along with pest strips took care of them. But, I have them now and I'm having trouble getting rid of them. I put nematodes in my soil yesterday... waiting to see how that works.
