it was 1984. i turned 18. i registered to vote at school. i guess i should have paid more attention in civics class. "what's the difference between a republican and a democratic?" that was the question i asked my friends. i didn't know and had to check a box. democratic just sounded like a nicer word. as the years went by i always voted. never paid much attention just voted democrat. as the years wore on i started to see i had made the right choice. was i lucky? was i somehow molded into this because of my original choice? did i maybe understand back then? not really sure.

so as i watch the news and read posts on "rants and raves" i have to wonder, does being a republican automatically make you wrong in the head?

just wondering.:peace:

Ill be honest I think it is absolulty absurd that we even have parties. What ever happened to "the best man for the job". Thats who I vote for. Voting for a person baised on party is like following the herd off the cliff. Please people, think for yourself.

I always hated the right wing bastards even when I was little.

Nancy Reagan and her "say no" program is when I realized I was right.

Closet baby raping dipshits...

Also, if your gay, don't be a closet bastard about it like those dudes.. just be gay. The scandals with these dudes are ridiculous - if they were just open about it - it wouldn't be an issue, but they probably wouldn't have been elected if they were honest.... catch 22 for them i guess.

I am also against the churchies so don't take my opinion to seriously because I don't want to argue with sheep online :P

Actually being a democrate means not caring about anyone but yourself. The democratic party tends not to do what would benefit the masses in the longer future but what would benefit that person at that day.For instance democrates to this day dont understand the basics behind Ronald Reagans trickle down economics. But seemed real happy that when clinton first came into office about the economy which ta da was from Reagan. He told the country the plan and promised if left in place in 12 years time the benfits would be reaped. What do you know Geroge Sr left them and at his end they kicked in for Clinton years.Clinton then changed alot of what was in place and by his second term the country was starting a tail spin which George Jr got as a presnt and is so bad now it will take another Reagan type pres to fix it.The basis of trickle down economics is to install abenefits and rewards for the top money makers in the country ie the richest.Dems start to cry but why they have money help the poorer people well my near sighted lemeins. The rich take thier money and open new companys and businesses which class does what? Creates new jobs which does what? Give people out of work jobs.IE the rewarded breals given to the wealthiest freed more more for more businesses for more jobs ie an economic boom as was witnessed. Now if you go the other way and give money to a lower economic class they still dont have enough money to start a new company to creat more jobs and the richer people who can dont have any reason to do it so in the end a small break down low helped no one as the little money is gone no new companys and no new jobs so its a watse. Its the simplest thing ever to be laid out but for somereason the democartice and liberal parties would rather each have $500 once a year and tax the richer people 10 times as much and force them to cut back on thier spending for new companies which kills america soo fdd I luv ya but you chose wrong and over the years have just kept voting wrong...

For a bunch of pot smokers there are alot of wanna be school teachers here that want correct punctuation and grammer. Its a post read it and debate it dont grade it lol.Anyways if Im wrong disprove it for fun.The only things I can say I do not go with as I am a moderate conservative are the parties stance on abortion, as I am pro choice, the legalization of Mary Jane I am for.I would also shut Nafta and outsourcing down. And If it was my choice Id bann organized religion to in your home only not public displays or churches as religion is the rule of all evils and the cause for all world conflicts.

In case you haven't noticed it Was the Republicans who started NAFTA and Outsourcing. It was started under your neo-conservative hero, Ronald Reagan's Administration. I'm guessing you didn't pay attention to history either.
I had joined the republican party back in 1980 and had voted republican since then until 2 years into Bush Jr's first term, then I didn't like the direction the party was taking. Now I have equal disdain for both parties.

As you see I put the Nafta and outsourcing in my dislikes also. But as a whole the country runs better under republican rule and republican backed houses. The dems just dont care enough to do anything to help they like to ride it out and see how the wind blows. We saw that with Clinton killing our miltary laying off all the soldiers when downsizing it.All the jobs of civilian companies who provided for those soldiers to be ready to defend us which as we see now we are short on those supplies we had after he got rid of them. Clinton also had the great idea to shut down and level 8 gas refineries in the US which now not only did those thousands of jobs vanish we cant convert oil to gas fast enough which led to these high gas prices becasue demand is higher then supply.Good job Billy boy at least he got a hummer while hangin out in the white house.Bush has order the rebuilding of 4 more refineries but they are exspensive and take 5-8 years each to build so til then we are screwed.Dank dont get mad at me though I respect yours and fdds right to choose I just dont personally think I could destroy the country willingly and be a full democrate.

Is this just your personal opinion or do you have any proof to that effect. Now I didn't Like Bill Clinton much, but under his watch we did have a balanced budget.
Those refineries that Clinton shut down were in such disrepair that they were becoming dangerous.

Dear filthy: I have read you posts and IMHO You are deranged. Have you been awake for the last 6-1/2 years, or in some somnambulant stupor? If you like what the Bush regime has been doing, I'm pretty sure you'd have liked living in fascist Germany in the '30's. Have you noticed the infringement on our freedoms like the "Patriot" act so misguidedly named? Have you noticed the dissapearance of 2 million jobs due to corporate greed, have you noticed the stagnation of middle class wages and the ever spiraling cost of health care while CEOs are doubling and tripleing their salaries. Maybe you should take a closer look at the Bush Regime before you get orgasmic about the republican party, the party for rich people. Now if your rich then fuck you, were coming for you shortly. PS. the only thing worse than a rich elite asshole is a wannabee.

they are closing my hospital.
I'm very sorry to hear this. With a single payer system, the profit motive would not be an issue and they could maintain hospitals that were not making enough profit as that is most likely the reason they are closing it. Rural hospitals are generally not very profitable, and since the health care of the citizenry is next to last on the importance schedule, equitable employment being last, they don't mind if you have to drive 50-100 miles to the nearest hospital. I've heard Human flesh is the tastiest meat of all. When we have to start eating the rich, I guess I'll find out. ~LOL~.

Just to set the record straight:

On December 17, 1992, the United States, Canada and Mexico signed the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Following approval by Congress, NAFTA entered into force on January 1, 1994.

William Jefferson Clinton (born William Jefferson Blythe III[1] on August 19, 1946) was the forty-second President of the United States, serving from 1993 to 2001.

I guess if a working tradesman who makes under $35000 a year is rich then thats me.I base my thoughts and beliefs from what I see and expirence as everyday life. The hardest most down time in my life were during the 8 years of Clintons regime.Construction actually fell and home sale plummetted. My father a working class man had a nice life from the Reagan years and ended up loosing much of what he had under Clinton.I know democrates praise his so called balanced budget but his cuts hurt almost all the people I grew up around considered lower middle to middle class who had incomes under $40000 to just above $15000 a year. These same people have again begun to have thier lives back to a livable standard the last 6 or so years .I know as a carpenter building boomed up until about 8 months ago.We couldnt build or remodel fast enough work was plentiful.Do I acredit this all to Bush no probably not but do I hate the fact making a living was good hell no.Was I angry to not have work during Clintons adminsistration and was forced into bankruptcy with no one wanting to build you bet you.My thing is this if you wanna be a democrate more power to you just dont bitch about how bad things are from the republican party after a Democratic rule. All things said the next president will show major improvements either way.

That's funny I worked more during the Clinton Years, Less during Reagan, even less during Bush one. And unless I could do restaurant work (which I can't for health reasons), it's hit and miss under the current president.

Clinton put through a RECORD tax hike as one of his first deeds after being elected. He even made it retroactive, causing major upheavals to the private sector in the area of tax planning. Tax hikes take more money out of the hands of the citizens and puts it into the hands of inefficient bureaucrats.

Bush cut taxes, leaving more money in the hands of the private sector.

Which option causes the economy to improve and which one causes the economy to falter?

hey fletch..

are you aware that during the Reagan administration the USA printed more money than all the presidents from George Washington to Jimmy Carter combined...

think about that for just a moment... what does that mean for our kids... what I find ironic.. is that you started by saying that the democrats only think about themslves...?

do you know what this mass spending is going to mean for the USA in the (the PEOPLE) future? I don't....
