The 220 bubble bag is work bag. That's the bag you add all your trim and ice to you mix in. It's not going to be catching trichomes, so it's going to make the comparison part a little difficult. Your 75 and 45 bags will be holding the good stuff.
I gotta ask though, why wouldn't you like a more pure product? If the trichome is where all the active ingredients of cannabis lie (thc, cbd, etc) why would you not want to isolate that and get rid of all the other crap that is of no use to you?
Have you heard the pizza analogy?
If you order a pizza, do you eat the whole pizza, box included? Or do you get rid of the box because it has no nutritional value, and just eat the actual pizza?
Well the trichome is the pizza and the plant is the box.
Ya... I understand the principle of the bags. With the dry ice I shake through a 220 and what is on the table is what becomes hash. So a fair comparison would be to do the bubble with a 220 bag and whatever comes out of that becomes hash. Of course the dry ice stuff will have sediment that the bubble bags don't, as I understand that the 75 and the 45 will both let some stuff pass through...
As for the more pure product... I have made "full melt" with my dry ice with an added wash. I have also purchased it from dispensaries. I don't find that I can taste the difference between that and what I make with dry ice. Neither can anybody I know. We have done taste tests over and over again with purchased product compared to mine and nobody I know has been able to CONSISTENTLY in the same sitting (that is key) pick out the full melt from my dry ice "schwag" (note that a fair test has to be the same strain). And these are a half dozen guys who have been smoking herb and its derivatives for 30+ years. My opinion is that no human taste buds are capable of sensing the difference. I have said so in other threads in this forum and bullshit has been called on me. But.... nobody has backed it up with proof. At least I have tried several taste tests...
Anyway... me being the lazy fucker that I am... I refuse to put an effort into chasing the purity if I am unable to appreciate it. And I don't understand why anybody else does. But I don't criticize them for it. Maybe there is some satisfaction in knowing that you have done the best job you could do in making your hash as pure as possible... I dunno... bragging rights and etcetera...
But as I said to each their own.
The other thing is that the impurities add character. different strains different characteristics.... just like booze... nobody drinks pure alcohol... the caskets it is aged in, the vats that brew it and the ingredients all add to the character. I don't see how weed is different....
