My favorite movie when I was a kid.
Well, that and Star Wars:-)
And I guess First Blood also.

Anyways, hard to beat a good ass rape scene. And then only to have a younger Burt Reynolds save the day. Priceless!

That's just one branch of TONS of branches exactly like that, it's the same plant I've been updating here since the tangilope fail. This table is about to get chopped down, was mainly so I could take clones but at the same time prove a pruning point, but the proof is in the pruning :D this is what's left after I chopped the plants straight in half, a good 14". More growth, vigor, perfect node spacing and all in all much better than non pruned plants I see around the riu . bongsmilienow-tell-me-who-is-the-boss.jpeg 20150218_204156.jpg

downloadfile.jpeg Just so there's no confusion, this is a picture of the plants before I chopped them in 1/2. I only chopped them in half so I could lower the light. But, yeah. It's pretty bad ass and people should learn the technique so they can grow crazy bushes too. Please feel free to check my journal to see the growth, also I have pics of these plants on this thread. Seeing is believing ;) and also, these were grown using 250ppm of nutrient solution with 100ppm tap water. (could low ppm and defoliation be the secret, stay tuned :) ) View attachment 3354608

Hey man you're preaching to the choir. ;-) I pull the same weight typically no matter how much I prune and tie down - I just prefer short bushy plants and an even canopy - plus I have a long veg period (8 weeks) which gives me plenty of time to play. :razz:image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg

What does "chopping them in 1/2" have to do with defoliation? You were doing pretty good until you posted a photo of the Liar-in-Chief and made referernce to topping or training mixing it up with defoliation.

Having said that, nice looking plants. ;)

I just chopped them in 1/2 to lower the light, but I figured a pic of what's left of the lower nodes and structure would be beneficial to see, the middle /bottom of the plants are really thick and robust as well. This was just a heavy pruning and topping results, I'm not sure why I posted that meme because I can't stand that guy, I should have used this one lol. Thanks UB :) 2015-02-19-11-34-42--1386572813.jpeg

while you were playing with your plants, waiting for them to regrow what you chopped off, I flowered mine and am already working on the next plants.bongsmilie
wait theres more.jpg

I'm not sure how long they were vegged for, but they were only vegged using 180w of t8 lighting, I'm sure if I used decent lighting the veg time would have been minimal 8)

that actually is about average ppm for vegging young plants in dwc.

There are some deficiencies, mostly minor, but the last vegging I did with these nutes were 600ppm (the plants above were about 25" tall and the last plants I vegged and flowered at 12" tall), definitely will try minimal nute ppm again @Hydroburn
