The white og from seedsman is my every day smoke for cleaning house and working around the house. Cheap beans too.

Skunk #1. You just can't go wrong with the skunk.

Alaskan purple is a nice evening smoke if you want to let the trichomes get to about 20%.

Sour diesel. Good, strong high but not debilitating. Nice sit on porch and watch sun go down smoke.

I know these are mostly old school stuff but I'm old so.....

Hey guys,
Throw your best recommendations for strains that are packed full of energy, minimal to no sleepiness that creeps in, and a normal range of THC, nothing crazy.
Ok. My go to herb is a Ultra White Amnesia Haze x Kosher Kush cross. Ultra White Amnesia Haze being a cross between White Widow and Amnesia, it is a truly fine and quite potent plant. And it will not rot like White Widow flowers have a tendancy to do in the last weeks.
If you are headed one toke over the line, a Malangi landrace will get you too far too fast. Malangi is to Malawi as Armagnac is to Cognac
The finest smoke by far that I have had since the mid sixties is Columbian Punta Roha, there are seeds for sale that claim to be original Punta Roha, but are not even close. If you ever come across any it will be your lucky day.
Anything from Bodhi is very legit, but a little to Indica influenced to rank at the very top of my list.
I consider strains, like Gorilla Glue, Girl Scout Cookies and other forms of the same tired mix and mix again hybrid genetics unrefined though very strong, and the same basic genes will show up over and over again with different names. It's all part of the name game that breeders play. Probably because if they named their strains by the geographic origins of the genes you could see that you are dealing with nothing that is really different or new.
