So ive been having all kinds of heat issues this grow. read about nectrotic leaves and started cutting a lot of sick leaves. but think im approaching harvest so its normal to have some leaves die right?..but im not sure exactly what is wrong. buds are still developing...i thought nicely but i dont know i feel like im missing out on a lot. They are under a 600W HPS and are around day 50 in 12/12. Diagnosis please.

That looks rough. Looks like PH is way off and you have salt build up on the leaves and nute burn.

When the leaves naturally die in flower, they will usually be more uniform in the yellowing, and may look healthy other then the fact they are yellow.

Your plant looks like it's being strangled to death. Flush with PH corrected water and do not water or feed until the pot is light. It's way to droopy.

Well you are 50 days into flower so there is not much you can do.
It appears though, that you have 2 issues.
1 is over-watering.
2 is likely a deficiency from either a Ph imbalance or incorrect N-P-K ratio.
Either way all you should do now is flush her when she gets dry, then only water from here on out.
Good Luck!

.
ok ive checked the ph of the nutes before i feed then and it usually sits around 6-6.5.....ive never check the ph of the soil this entire grow. Iwas following Advanced Nutrients calculator and its pretty user friendly..i think i may have went overboard by throwing in a lot of hydrozyme when i ran out of sensizyme...similar products but i musta went too crazy with the nutes.

thanx for confiming that they are dieing and the normal flowing loss..the leaves dont fall off easily like they would normally...the stem of the leave is actually still strong to the branch. oh ya and salt build up...i did notice it at the bottom of my pots....my pot trays actually make the water sit about an inch when i feed.

ya i figured it was too late to do anything....more for learning purpose for the next time around....wanna avoid repeating mistakes ya kno?

1. overwatering...ok i was thinking this...on week 4-5 i didnt water for the entire week...it was very dry and i must have over compensated...something i didnt have to do but acted on emotions....i lost a plant that week..and thats when most of damage occured..but i backed off the next watering...good move huh or else i would have lost my entire crop...

2. this could be due to lockouts from salt buildup?

thanx for the input sure shot.

Thanks docs for you inputs....now this is exactly why i started this thread....this whole time i was pretty much only focused on the temperature and i do recall that i have had moments where i wanted to "Beef Up" the plants by adding more nutes to make them more restistant to the heat....and i would tell myself "these afghanis are soldiers...they can handle anything." aww sounds like i fried my plants with nutes when i thought it was the light doing all the damage......i do recall during the veg stage...they were happy and healthy even in 90+ temps.
