I don't think any of us other than possibly FinShaggy, deliberately abuse their weed. We simply have environmental constraints we have to grow weed within. Most outdoor weed stretches without limit, is it better? By the way that's not a rhetorical question. I've had some very good outdoor @doublejj 's immediately comes to mind.

It should be noted that Cookies strains and the vast majority of strains that have cookies in the line.
Have a rather pronounced trait to go high N.

Translation: Cookies strains and her children are N sensitive!

I have a group of Cookies in the mix strains that are quite sensitive to N ratio's. This includes a delightful Thin Mint pheno, that I really like.

Increasing N, or retaining higher N in the stretch does have a minor effect but, too much is rather easy to get.
My "normal" N ratio's of 4% do give high N results.
They should not be allowed to get dark green or god forbid,,shiny and dark green. This results in decreased trich production and therefor reduced THC counts by volume accounting.

I find they can like higher Mg too.

In organic water only runs. I had to be real careful on available N in the bloom soils.
In synthetic runs. I did settle on 3% for the first 2 weeks, and even then I needed to really watch the plant when dialing them in the first and second runs for dial in.
As the stretch slows, I decrease N to 2% and run them out, with another N reduction halfway through the bulking phase.

I found it more productive to keep night temps a bit lower, AND use MH lighting for those weeks also. The bluer the spectrum in the stretch, the better stretch can be controlled.
Keeping the light as close to the canopy as you can also makes the MH more effective at this.

So yes! In my book, I would describe cookies and her children as an advanced grower plant.

@Greedyfly I suggest you start your first run with some of my suggestions and work your way into whats going to work in your environment. Remembering that it's easier to add more, then to have to attempt to reduce it (from a dark green/too much N situation) and get the best potentials.

They aren't "hard" to run. Just a more fussy plant to run "right".

You should do fine!

P.S. Yes, they are not a yields strain.....But worth the time if you like that style buzz.
