I cut a lot of stem too, and leave a lot under the puck, I see no difference. His water temp is too high and I think whatever light it is under is cooking them.
its a galaxyhydro 300w l.e.d. (Dimmable) on 75%. Ive got the water temp down to room temp and i never get above 75°F so im pretty sure its not the light.

check out my mini diy humidifier ;) low tech but im struggling with the dry air this winter.i used a bleach bottle and some old reflector meterial and foil tape.stuck a rag in the water as a wick and blowing the air over the wet rag.i screwed a shelf to the wall with extra screws because the water was kinda heavy for it.20181212_125048.jpg does anybody have a link to some sort of cheap humidistat that will cut the fan off at a certain humidity? I have a 12v thermostat maybe i could use that in some way to control it?

Hey man, that's too much light. You only need a tiny amount of light for unrooted clones. Not 75% of however many watts at the wall that light is (I think it's 181w at the wall). Good luck.

i know, its actually pulls 140w from the wall max, so i have it at about 105w but its all the way at the top of the room almost 4ft from the cloner

day 6, and i think the mg spray helped i sprayed them once, and once again 12 hrs later. Seems like the curling has relaxed a little. The growing of the leaves has slowed but i think thats what i want so they focus on rooting.my humidifier is definitley working. What do you guys think about optimal veg humidity? USER_SCOPED_TEMP_DATA_orca-image-523264314.jpeg_1544573312235.jpeg 20181212_181016.jpg humidity got up to 63% from mid 40's in six hours of dark lets see what happens when the lights are on

i dont' know what you could find at a walmart/home depot, etc but if you could find a clear plastic dome to put over that clone tub, that would probably help.

forgot to turn the timer on when i checked them last night and the pump stayed on all night and heated the water back up to 80. i dont know for sure but seems like they responded better to warmer water. Maybe not at 80 but i decided to try to run a little warmer 75-78° set the timer to be off 10 min and on 30 min

Day 7 and the clones are in way better shape than last go round. Caught the mg def. early and root nubs are finally forming on the stems.ill take pics when theyre recognizable. USER_SCOPED_TEMP_DATA_orca-image-1615435819.jpeg_1544742936771.jpeg This strain has been more difficult to clone than i usually run into. Im usually rooting in 4 days, but ive had to dial it in and be very specific with conditions for this to work.20181213_180600.jpg

turned the lights all the way down because it was sunny and warm today. i run my house on a solar set up and when go off grid i minimize my power usage by turning the lights down.

Day 8, i took the dome off the plants just before their night cycle to try to acclimate them to the new veg room.seems like they are doing ok.USER_SCOPED_TEMP_DATA_orca-image-1310663540.jpeg_1544830674432.jpeg

They won't take long in DWC to develop a profuse rootball. You could leave 'em the cloner also. Once those aero roots come in, they are gonna bust out.
