Why is there never any talk of what women have gone through? To this day they are still discriminated against. Probably more than any other group of people. It's ok though, we're just women.
Where have you been lately?

The whole Sandra Fluke or whatever her name is deal.

The recent debate over Hobby Lobby.

The coming to light of the fact that the Obama administration pays it's female members less than the national average of the ratio of what women are paid for the same job type as men.

Women's issues have been all over the national debate as of late.

Welcome to the politics sub forum.
Have I been talking to the village idiot, so to speak?

Nothing is worse than a partisan hack. I get the feeling this one feels that everything a liberal does bad isn't that big of a deal, and anything a conservative does bad is the end of the world,

"or whatever her name is"

Pretty much sums it.

So you don't think there are any gays that provide those services?
so gays should just content themselves to a smaller selection of goods and services? that's the stance you're taking?

profiles in courage here.

And of course you could just have a cake with no top ornament.

You could just not tell the florist to send the gay flowers.
there we go again.

are you being discriminated against because you are gay? DON'T BE GAY!

PROBLEM SOLVED!

I thought you said gay was a birth defect. That's like trying to tell someone to stop having a cleft lip.

you're the one arguing that gays should just hide who they are or just deal with religious bigotry

i think that's a retarded stance to take no matter how liberal or conservative you are. it's also the type of argument that the true village idiot would make.

where did i say it was a "defect", as you just claimed?

You said gays were born gay and they had no choice in the matter. You said that if they were born straight that they couldn't/wouldn't chose to be gay. You said a person wouldn't want to be gay unless they were born that way. That they have no choice in the matter. You make gay out to being a birth defect.

No...

You said the gays struggle is like that of blacks decades ago.

For most gay people, people who discriminate against them do not get the opportunity until the gay person informs they are gay.

The blacks couldn't just tell the waitress they fell asleep in the tanning bed.

Why do you have to belittle blacks to promote your homosexuality?

Yes, I agree with you. The only problem is that this is a gross misrepresentation of any argument I've made.

In matters of necessity, a gay man has an option unavailable to blacks, just don't tell anyone.

In trivial matters, like finding a cake, I'd venture to say a gay person would have to go out of their way to find a bakery unwilling to help.

There is no need to make a law requiring religious persons to do what they see as a violation of their faith.

I don't agree with them, but unlike you, I'm willing to let someone do something I do not agree with.
