Blue, idk I don't have a temp guage

Cam, its a couple lamps I took apart and have splitters on and a few other light parts I got from the hardware store and put together when I ran out of expendable lamps. For the exact figures on watts check the previous page or 2 I have it all listed

Okay awesome. Do the splitters go in any regular lamp or fixture? I am looking to add more lights and a split would certainly do the job.

The splitters I have are made for regular light fixtures, they are like $3 I think. Lighting section of true value hardware

Hey man. it looks like the room is getting hot. the leaves sow signs of heat stress, or you over watered her. looking goo but i know how you feel. i had cfls in the beginnning of grow, i now have a 400w hps. but i would say its week 1 of flowering. if the buds just showed up. looking good.

i cant figure out how to get the temp down. i need to get a thermometer in there, i've just been lazy about it. I have a fan blowing DIRECTLY on the plant from the bottom->up, so i thought i was ok, the heat got much more intense though when i switched to 2700K bulbs, but i hoped the direct air flow from the fan would help. the top of the box is pretty open too, its only like 1/3 closed off and most of the bulbs (all but 2) are where the hole is so heat can rise up and out

im at a loss on what to do next to control the heat. i leave my curtain that's around the box open during the day, closed at night to keep it dark in there.

get a 6" fan for the top of the box. having the air escape faster.and get cooler air from outside the room/box is a key way of coooling the temps.

Hi! I sub'd to your journal. I am getting ready to try a similar grow in one of my small bedroom closets. I think the heat will be an issue for me also. Luckily I own my own home and I live alone. I am hoping that leaving the closet door open during the day when I have the lights on will allow enough heat to escape. I also have a window unit a/c adjacent to the closet so maybe I can rig it up to cool the closet a little somehow. Anyway, I am very interested in how your grow turns out!!!

i leave the closet doors closed, but the curtain is open, and the closet doors dont close totally flush so i figbured air was circulating.

by design, i cant put a fan in the top of my box. my box isnt really a box, its just pieces of archival foamboard i ganked from work and cut into size/shape and have them just rigged up in there to kinda make a box...

i have removed the piece on the left so the whole left side is open now, just that piece on the right is still on top. the fan is positioned to pull air through the big crack down the right hand side and push it out the hole in the top. this pic was taken during EARLY EARLY veg.

I'm having heat issues in both my veg and flower closets which forced me to keep both doors open with fans blowing into them when lights are on. Doing that my temps go from high 80s to high 70s during the day. So it took your badseed plant 3 weeks to show bud/pistils? Guess I got awhile before mine shows anything.

Ok, the plant is now 10 1/2 weeks from seed. She is still growing an inch or so every few days.

12/12 since 5/27 @ <10 inches, it is now right at 17 inches. I've since taken the top off my box for extra height and ventilation. You can tell from some of my last pics to now, the plant is showing a lot less heat stress. There still is some, but mainly just on the leaves closest to the bulbs, but im keeping the top lights as close as i can to the top buds.

Buds are starting to fill out well, but crystals have yet to show up. This shit is gonna be staaaaaaaanky when it starts to really mature, cause its already making my room reek. even with my closet shut and the curtain closed

still using low-grade nutes (8-7-6). just miracle-gro house plant food. i know its not going to produce as big or as fast but i want to keep the chemicals low in my plant. i dont want to risk a really harsh smoke.

You get harsh smoke, by not flushing... Looks like that plant needs more light!

its all the light i can get in there, i wish i could fit more but i only have 1 available socket to use and i have a power strip pluged into that and all the lamps have splitters and then 1 fan, so the power strip is full

11 weeks old!!! (and 1 day) 18 1/2 inches tall

buds are starting to fill out. it keeps showing heat stress, then it goes away, then comes right back? almost day to day. my home is A/C cooled. plus i run a fan in my room. its been pushing 100's out here on the east coast recently though. so i hope once the weather cools off the heat stress will go away.

the only real stress is the top half of the plant where the bulbs are kept just inches away from the buds. the box has no top anymore to allow more heat to escape. and the fan runs the whole time the lights are on. Actually, i checked it right at "lights on" this morning and it was pretty cool in there. noticeably cooler than my room. The AC fan for my home is on the opposite side of the wall though? so maybe it cools it at night.

anyway here are a few pics. Im holding 4 bulbs back to take the pics. so the lights you see are not THE ONLY lights in there.
