I used a dryer vent box, perfect size as it's 4 inches and the connection outside is a dryer cap vent , Part of the problem was the fan did not fit tight enough for a good seal so I used some weather stripping and it not only quieted it down but it held perfectly. As it has sticky on both sides. Solved that Issue, now to add a carbon filter? I used a plastic tree wrap that was adjustable in size and had some nice holes already in it , next I added a panty hose filled with activated charcoal, but I needed a way to keep the charcoal tight , so I used some canning jar rings and inserted a thin foam filter inside of it too keep it together and retain it's shape. Inserted into the dryer vent Tucked everything nice and tight. Put it together and tried her out. Fan blew connectly and connected nicely to my 4 inch intake tube and my 4 inch exhaust vent..Taped her and sealed it with gorilla tape and gave it a try. everything seemed to work well. And it's done...I'll do the sniff test later.. But here it is my Ghetto Fan and filter. The fan was a PC fan I added a 12 volt adapter too, pulls through well.
