GH Feeding Schedule Question

That really doesn't help me. I'm using GH like I said. I'm already on a feeding schedule but need help. I'm not gonna just waste more money.

That schedule looks fine to me. I just use the Micro and Bloom Lucas formula but I have been wanting to try Floralicious. I am usually not impressed with over-hyped additives. I never noticed any diff with Koolbloom but at 1 ml/gal you're not wasting too much money. I saved that schedule and may try it this time around

Yes, it does answer your question. Lucas formula is a ratio of gh micro and gh bloom @ 1:2.

Lucas formula calls for 8ml micro 16ml bloom. It has a npk ratio that can be used from seed to harvest. I actually use 10ml micro, 20ml bloom, 2.5ml silica, 1ml Floralicious+ per gallon of water. My EC is @ 2.0, this will probably be too hight for you.I push my plants tho.

If you really want to figure out hydro nutes. Study up on EC and npk ratio and you will be golden.

Oh I kind of get it now. Lucas formula is just the name of a formula and not a product. Gotcha.

Also I am familiar with the PPM not the EC. I know I keep hearing about EC and how much better that measure is but when I started studying this stuff everyone was talking PPM. One day when I have time I will look more into the EC measurement/calculation.

I'm using GH nutes. I'm trying to find a good feeding schedule and I came across this one.

Can anyone tell me if this is a good schedule or give a recommendation if you are using GH nutes?

I'm growing in Hydro thanks!
That schedule is good, but use exactly half strength at all times though. It is pretty much the scedule that is on the bottle, and we use it at half strength. Oldie but goodie! No need for any of the other shit on that schedule. You just need those base nutes;-)
The only reason i don't use the floraseries and that schedule currently (which I started with it more than 20 yrs ago), is because i like the simplicity of the 1-part nutes out nowadays. The maxiseries is cheaper too;-) both nute bases grow great bud.

EC isn't really better, just easier. give you an example: i run mine around 1.2EC max. you run yours at 1600ppm. i have to ask you what conversion scale you use 0.7,, 0.5 on your ppm meter. 1600 could be 0.8Ec or 1.1EC. see the confusion??

EDIT; i had it backwards. 1600ppm could be 3.2EC or 2.5EC

thanks for the chart hotrod! proves why EC is easier.

The best money I spent growing was buying a meter. Started a DWC as a fun thing. And my cheap Hanna is every bit as good as any Blue Lab device. I personally do NOT trust an instrument that is self-calibrating. Too many years in medicine calibrating equipment and knowing how wide the range can be.

This chart shows why people get confused. When a meter gives a reading it is not ppm's, it has to be converted. Some people can't figure the math and just give the meter reading and call it ppm's. That get's you incorrect advice. 1000 ppm's is 1.0 EC. It's not rocket science but stoners and math don't always go together. You have to figure out if someone is using converted numbers or if they are expecting you to convert it for them.
