Looks legit to me. As for smell, everyones smells can/will be interpreted differently so not overly concerned with how you describe the nose you get from it. The purple in the stems and the leaf twist in the second pic really tell me some of what I need to know. If you got it from S.E MI chances are really good its a legit cut. I myself unintentionally stumbled onto a legit cut here in the Mitten a few yrs back. Still run it today & its a staple in my momma room.
The further you get into flower, the less you will see of the leaf twist, if any at all. If grown under COB lighting, its a magnesium whore. It will get the yellow look between the leaf veins (noticed some faintly in your last overhead pic) and she'll let you know when she needs it. No issues like that under any other lighting in my experience with it though.
I highlighted some things that look legit to me in your pic:

Thank you @HydroRed very insightful. Yes southeast Michigan from a friend of a old neighbor that's been growing since the 60s. And thanx for the yellowing (hubby built a 270watt light from 9watt screw in leds) tip I noticed that the other day but feeding time is in about 6 hours so I'll keep a good look at em. Very tips of most older leaves are burning but nothing past the first 1/16 of an inch any more and ill cut back on feed as you said and everything I've read she's a nutrient whore lol.
And I love dan aykroyd :)

Ok I'm growing what I was told was gg#4. This strain seemed to help the most when I got some from the dispensary so it's what I looked for for my grow, now I'm only getting the standard musk smell with a little chem smell when I'm checking on the girls and it's nothing like what I smoked.
So the question is what does everyone think? Do I gotta wait for flowering to ask or is the twisting leaves and lanky stems a good indicator?View attachment 4164238 View attachment 4164240
