Getting the Californian Medical Marijuana Card

I'm currently living on the East Coast. But plan to move to Cali. Is it possible to get the MMJ Card with a misdemeanor on my record? A few years back I got charged with misdemeanor possession of Marijuana. (yeah that's why I'm moving)

oooooooooh no no no way now with that misdemeanor on the east coast theres no chance of getting your medical marijuana card in california now
