Getting the best yield from 1.2x2m tent with either 1 or 2 600s

Ok so I've done a few grows outside in the uk with half decent success. Also done one inside using a 1m tent and had regular input with my friends 2.4m tent grows.
I've just decided to purchase a 1.2m and 600hps with air cooled blockbuster reflector .

How can I get the best possible yield growing under 10 plants? Scrog or just use big pots on my 10babys

The other option I've got which I've tested in a 1m x2meter tent is to lay the tent on its side. Giving me 2x1.2m floor area and 1.2m in height and depth . Then mount 2x600s and grow short fat plants .
I did this with a 1x2 m tent and it was tight! A few top colas got burnt but I imagine with the same short strain and the extra 200mm I could do it well this time.
Any ideas guys? My goal is to have the highest possible yeild in the shortest time using no more than 10-12 plants or perhaps 16 if I split the strains up to keep my set up looking personal in the eyes of the law

I've recently started a grow with those specs, I've only got three plans in there because one died but the plan was for four and I plan to SCROG the tent out. When searching for the best size grow, costs, bang/buck, etc I decided the 1.2m tent with 600w MH/HPS combo with up to 4 plans in a SCROG is an efficent setup to get a good yield that'll last me untill the next lot is ready, easy.

There's a few guys on here that have filled out a 1.2m tent with a 600w light you don't need more plants than that

Really? Surely only 4pants in a scrog will take ages to fill? Would I not speed up my veg time with 8 or even 10 and then scrog net?
Secondly if I can keep the height under .9m including the pot I could use longways configuration with another 600 giving me 1.2x2m light coverage rather than 1.2x1.2m light coverage

Yeah, honestly, when I replied I hadn't noticed you said shortest possible time. Yeah, 8 to 10 in there would still be fine under a 600 with a good hood if you're planning to turn it over quicker. My hood takes up 40cm itself but it's great. With going sideways, wouldn't that depend a lot on the strain? How much it's going to stretch when you flip it? 1.2m high minus light space, minus pot space, might get you a bit close to the lights towards the end there.

Yea I'm trying to find another person who's done this lol. I did it out of necessity when my mates grow got busted we had to move his plants out if a 1.2x2.4 into my 1x2 .
. Luckily the Jamaican dreams where short a bushy so what we did was to tie all of the stems down to branch it out rather than up . Then used bricks to brick the frame up a few inches with the pots sinking the the tent material down then tied the block busters to the too of the frame with wire.

By the time we cropped I'd only lost the top 2inches of the tallest plants to burning and all the rest were 10mm below the glass. I use a 6 inch fan and filter seems to keep the reflectors pretty cool
All in all I ended up pulling 2-2.5oz per plant with the plant and 11ltr pot being about thigh height
. Ever hear of someone pulling that amount from a 1x2meter tent in 2-3weeks vedge and 8-9 weeks flower?

I'm no pro but my mate said he's never seen so much out of such a small tent in such a short space of time and that was my first attempt at indoor growing . I was using 1200 wats though along with Ph and EC meter being bang on , temp was always 27-30c with the lights on . My only issue was humidity up around the 65-75mark

27 to 30 degree could be a little high, depending on the strain, from what I've seen 25 to 27 degree looks to be a better temp 'in general.' I believe heat can stunt growth a bit. Maybe blow some more air through there and that could also lower the humidity for you, too.

But like I said it was a bodge set up trying to downsize a grow room by over 50% without squashing the plants together .
Il do further investigation into this method then before going down the scrog rout. The main disadvantage I found was I had to remove the plants from the tent in order to check them for mold and prune them. It was like playing tetrus to move it all about

I think I may just go scrog 10plants short vedge then flower then once my lot comes il il invest in 2x substorm led system and go horizontal with my tent so I won't have a height or height issue then see if I can pull over a 1000g in my 1.2 . Last set up I did with my friend we just jungled 32 plants in 11ltr pots with 3x1000hps , we averaged 2.6oz per plant like that and all we did was feed them and let them go wild in the tent

That's heaps of light in 1.2m2, screening those plants together should fill that tent with flowers nicely and you sound like you know what you're doing

12 Plants in a 4'x4'x7', 28 days veg in 18 lt. pots of coco. 600 grams plus with a single 600 hps.DSCN0637.JPG

In the above post we used a 2.4x2 with. 3x1000hps . Lol saying that if fan noise wasn't an issue I think you could get 2x1000w in a 1.2 though ;-)

I don't care about the efficient side of things running costs are paid for by the solar panels the government gave me for free lol. I do have a short window to do all my growing though so it's all about yeild in least time using that much space

9 plants veg 30-40days in the 5x5 with 4 250watt opticgrowlights vero 4000K for the cycle. Cost upfront are little high but the production and reliability are very good
