We are just about ready to start our first grow. We will be growing in our basement which is always freezing so I am not too worried about heat.

Secret Jardin L160
1 Gavita Pro 6/750e DE Fixture & Bulb
1 Can Fan Pro Series 8" 863 CFM
Indoor Temp/Humidity Monitor
5-7 Gallon Fabric Planting Containers
2- 4 bulb T5 15"x4ft fixtures
Vegamatrix Starter Kit
12 Blue Kush Seeds
1 Gorilla Glue #4 Clone
1 Big Bud Clone
Purchasing the filter this weekend.
Soil-Not 100% sure, checking a few places out this weekend but will be some sort of Organic soil.

Still need to look into fans and a timer, but I am not really worried about those at the moment. Is there anything else we are missing?

You might want to check the humidity level in your room. It tends to be higher in the basement. Although you should be fine thru veg, you may need a de-humidifier during flower. I'm assuming your room is mostly ready but don't forget panda film (personal preference) or mylar. You will also want a ppm pen/pH pen, it will save you a lot of trouble down the road.

I am actually having issues getting my humidity up right now. It was 20% this morning for my seeds. I went and got a cool mist humidifier for the time being. I am waiting another hour or so before I go and check it again. 2 hours after I added it I got the humidity up to 28%

Did you start your seeds in a propagation tray? If you have a lid, try keeping the vents almost completely closed. Once the plants are a little bigger it should be easier to maintain a higher RH. Also keep ventilation at a minimum during this time as it will quickly dry out your tent.

We did not get the tray. We are using small clear solo cups. I know our biggest problem is we do not have our fan yet, it arrives today and we will be able to set that up.

The temp gets up to 86 degrees and 36% humidity at the highest. I had to open additional vents ontop to keep it from getting too hot but our humidity is now hanging around 30%. I am hoping we can get our blower/fan up tonight.

I think one of the best thing you can get is a thermostat control and a oil heater
All you do is plug your fans in to the cool and heater in to heat and set the control to about 19c
It will be the best thing you buy its a must

So I came home from work yesterday, my humidifier was bone dry and the plants as well, our humidity was 17% and the heat was 91 degrees F., (32/33 C) So I filled up the humidifier and closed the vent up top but opened the very top of the tent. I had to run out and a couple hours later when I got home I had one plant up, humidity was 48% Heat was 79. Watered and checked this morning and the humidity was 54%, heat was 82 and we had 8 little guys popping through!
