Calicos' Ginger Tea

3.5oz of fresh, peeled & sliced ginger (about the size of your thumb)
3 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
2 cups Water
Pinch of Sea Salt and Black Pepper
1/4 cup of Sugar/Honey

Bring 2 cups of H2O to a gentle boil with a pinch of sea salt and pepper. Add spices and let water reduce down to half (1 cup). Add sugar/honey and stir to dissolve*.
Strain out the loose spices while pouring the tea into your cup. And cream/milk and squeeze a lemon wedge if desired. Enjoy!

*If you add the sugar/honey at the begining, it can take up to an hour for the water to evaporate and reduce down to 1 cup. Also, fresh ginger is necessary but if you don't have the other whole spices in your cupboard, you can substitute with "Pumpkin Pie Spice" instead.

lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A 90 day rehab??? He hasn't even had a habit for 90 days. And as far as NA goes, it's a joke! The only difference between NA and AA is the switched the word "alcohol" to "drugs" in their "Big Book".The NA/AA program/book was written in the mid 1930s and not a word has been changed. It would be like being treated at a hospital that used equipment and trained staff from what was available 80 years ago. NA/12-Step has a <1% success rate. A program based on the theory that addicts are powerless over drugs is bs. There is no brian disease that negates free will. Modern science has discredited the "Disease Model" a decade ago. Maintaining an addiction is a choice. Newer methods such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Rational Emotive Therapy have shown success rates over 80%. And addicts actually GRADUATE from these programs! They don't have to spend the rest of thier life in a dingy church basement drinking coffee, chain smoking and refusing to take responsibility for thier life because they "are powerless over thier disease."

I like you Calico. You remind me of a friend that used and kept it strait.
Some h addicts don't care if they're homeless and thier family and friends despise them. The majority of us prefer to keep our full time job, family, friends, and self-respect. But we're not the kind of junkies that make it on the news, or Cops for that matter.

Ive tried everything,,,, I was addicted to oxys for 8 years before moving to heroin for lack of oxys,,,, I went thru the methadone clinic for a couple of years, got down to 1 milligram then they told me I was done but still couldnt go to work or look people in the eye,,, couldnt sleep,, hoooottttt all the time,,, then,,,,, I found suboxine doctors,,, Its great,,, you put one tiny pill under your tounge in the morning and you are good as gold all day without being high,,, I would still be an addict if it wasnt for these pills and insurance covers them,,,, the downfalls are that you have to take this pill every morning,, but in my case it was a lifesaver....... good luck,,,, Ive been there and back....

Suboxin is also addictive! It is a drug that does stop the sickness though. My brother did oxy and then went to heroin. He would take suboxin to try and stay clean. They do work but can be a bitch to get off of. You should only need about three or four days worth though because then the sickness will be gone. So if you can find some just take it for a few days till your not sick. Then just smoke! Good luck to you and no don't take any benzo's or anything else. Smoking can really relieve some of the sickness also. Take lots of B-12, juice, potassium. The pills take all your nutrients out of your body so you need to replace them.

Hey man i feel for ya but their is a way out but it involves stress and pain call a private hospital and ask to see a drug specialist and this is what they can do for you they strap you to a bed and inject you with a drug that clears your system of all opiets within 2 hours but you will be in a lot of pain and its ment to hurt but once the opiets are gone out of your system then you wont feel the need to take them then you see a councilor for a while this costs about £1500 in all but this treatment is getting used in the USA so it must be widely avalible :peace: out good luck.

Well i was goina sugest cutting pills in half and slowly ease off, smoke some weed, get natural sleep, and deal with the physical pain. But since you got past it... I feel good for you! As for why they make opiates they are made for moderate pain and they usually give them to you to use in short periods so you don't physically depend on it. But many people get addicted. Again Great Job!
