Getting clones but how do I care for them?

i will be doing a closet grow for the time being. Covering walls with Mylar, I'll have a fan and wondering how to add ventilation? I read about getting a bathroom vent fan, but seeing as I can't cut holes in the wall that isn't an option. Any other ideas?

Also, after getting a proper set up, how do I care for the clones? What type of lights do I start with and when would I change to different lights, etc?

You can always get a new, cheap, door and replace the door that is currently there. Then you can do whatever you want to it without remorse. Mylar is great, but will help keep a little extra heat in the room. Do you have a plan to cool this space? There is something called an inline fan. Get at least a 6', with a fan speed controller to control the speed at which the fan moves (It helps with sound too) . Get some type of fan to allow air flow in your space. Clones should come in some type of rockwool, soil cube, etc. Order online or visit your local hydro store and get yourself a small tray and humidity dome (is this mandatory? No, but it will help a beginner tremendously). I would say for expense purposes get a fluorescent fixture. A small fluorescent fixture if you are doing a few clones or an 8 light if you are doing a bit more. This is a cheaper route than running a MH/HPS light. You need to do a little more research if you are asking when to change the lights. You need to look up what medium you want to use, what basic nutrients you want to use, how you are going to cool your room/ decrease humidity, how to transplant, what is PH/EC, what is NPK, etc. I suggest heading over to the newbie central section and diving into as much information as you can handle. It will give you years of experience within hours, try it. I hope this helps jumpstart your grow.
