Getting a Pit Bull Pup!

They were originally bred to guard the farmers children against wild animals out on their farms in South Africa. They are expensive dogs and it is going to cost me about $5000 for a Boarboel from a top quality breeder.

My buddy used to have one of those boarboels. They are extremely stubborn man you really gotta work to get those dogs to respect you as their leader. This dude that had one just let it rule the house and that was not a good situation

This is Black who is about 15mths old and he has taken down 250kg boars all on his own

This is one of Blacks trophies

This is Doze who is Blacks brother

This is Jet in action

And even straight after a kill these dogs are great with kids because they have been trained well.

The picture of the dog wearing body armor just made my day for some reason. I understand why an owner would do that. Boars can be ridiculously dangerous. I just wish the dog had a helmet cause then he would look like a space marine.

The number 1 rule of owning a dog is for the dog to know who is boss and that goes for all dogs big and small.

The breastplates are for the dogs protection otherwise the boar would put his tusks straight through the dog and we dont want to see dogs getting hurt. Its only fair because the boars have big bullet proof pads aswell.

Heres a couple pics just for you Floyd. The red thing on the side of the neck is a tracking device so we know exactly where our dogs are when their on the chase at night and these are the tusks i was talking about.

I've seen the damage those tusks can do. I used to work with this old guy that was attacked by a boar while he was in the woods. Talk about some nasty scars.

Those are some good looking dogs, too. The dog in the bottom pic has some "stoned" eyes.:bigjoint:
