it has been hot so i haven't gotten much done lately. it cooled off just enough for me to get back to work. this is what i did the past 2 days.

this one has a crack in it but i will use it myself.



some slides, ...


my attempt at a "girl pipe". it's hard working with these colors. they boil really easy. i like the style though and will keep working at it until i get it perfect.




this is my "first" jar.

FDD I'm not familiar with your standards or unspoken policies or whatever but I would like to ask you a few questions in the open....


1. You do NOT make bongs because you don't have the kiln to do it with, am I correct in this? What about bubblers, though?
2. Do you take any requests? I know it takes a lot of work but if someone was to pay you in advance would you customize a color scheme or fuming or whatever?
3. Anything you have been experimenting with recently as far as technique or different types of glass blowing?

I'm a big fan of your work and I've been watching for a while and I love your style man... I hope to one day own a piece made by you

Gettin real good at this FDD

when you make the bowls, do you just mold off an already blown piece? or do you make the bowl or slid itself first, then i guess melt it on to the bottom part, if that makes any sense what so ever haha

yes, my kiln is too small. i can make bubblers but i don't like them so i don't make them. they get dirty too fast and stink. then they are a pain to clean. i'm sure in the future i will make a few though.


i'm nowhere near good enough to take requests.

the fittings come on a short piece of tubing with one on each end. maybe 5 inches long. i cut then down to the fitting and about 1/2 inch of tubing. i make the bowl first then attach the fitting then blow the hole and push the bowl itself. add the horn or dots and call it done.

Make an 18mm jointed bubbler. That would make it easy to pour some alcohol and salt in for quick / easy cleaning.

Oooooh I can see it now. Make the male joint diffused and then melt the top of it into the bowl. Make a nice bowl that matches the flow of the pipe. Ohhh that would be so sexy!
