Germination Went Dry?

Well I put some seeds in a shot glass of water, and when I woke up this morning, the water had evaporated. If I could guess, the seeds were without water for about 3 or 4 hours. Will the seeds still grow? If it matters, two of them were germinating nicely, although I noticed their taproots shrunk just a little bit since they were dry.

I had that problem with the paper towel method but I just got the seeds wet again and I didn't have any problems I would say try to soak them again wouldn't give up just yet

Yep yep yep...no problem...I started some seeds and then chaged my mind and never watered the coco again and actually forgot about the seeds...until I started more in some of the same coco and more than the seeds I had planted then grew...lol.

Put the paper towels, seeds, etc. on a plate and put the plate in a large sealable baggie.
Check every day but hold off transplanting until the white root is more than an inch long.

Seeds need the constant presence of water for the hormones to wake up and start the
growth process. Letting the seeds dry out is no good as it interrupts the process.

BigSteve, with more grows than you can shake a stick at.
