i used the bowl, plate method to germinate 4 bagseeds on thanksgiving day and 2 of them germinated about 4 days later and there roots came out so i planted them in a plastic cup and the soil was wet so i didnt water it. i put them outside thinking they would grow but it was to cold and i forgot to water them and i felt the soil about 4 days later and it was dry so i figured they were dead. so the other seeds were still left germinating and one of the seeds roots grew sets of roots on it because it was left germinating for so long, so yesterday i took that plastic cup that was outside and watered it will distilled water and made 2 holes about 1.5 inch deep because one of the seeds roots were to long. so i picked it up with my fingers gently and planted it and i planted the other one. will anything happen to the one with long roots?? im guessing the rest are all dead too?? here are some pictures of the one with long roots.am i doing everything right with lights and water? i water them with distilled water and i fill the bottle cap with water and pour it onto the soil 2 times every day. im using a 400 watt hps/mh fixture and am using a mh light.i started yesterday at 6pm and left the lights on till 6:00 am today. i turned the lights back on today at 11:00 am and are still on

try again. seperate cups. germinate till the root is like half an inch to an inch long and plant it root facing down so that th seed itself, not the root, is about 1 0r 2 CM under the surface of the soil. just dont put more than one plant in a pot. keep inside under 24 hour light as soon as they go in the soil. as soon as they have been sprouted and under 24 hours of light for about 2 week switch it over to 18 hrs light and 6 hours dark. after about 2 months of that swithch lighting to 12 hrs light 12 hrs dark for flowering. dont bother with newts if its one of your first grows and just dont forget to water them, at least 2 times a day. i do 3.
