germinating

hey i know the hole wet moist paper towel way to germinate your seeds. but i herd that u can just keep the seed in a dixie cup with water and it will turn green and crack with the stem. anyone herd of this method?and if so please explain a little more about it, i wanna try it and compare with the paper towel method.

Some people soak seeds for 12-24 hours before the germinate them...

THIS is CRAZY.. in my opinion.. every once in a while you hear a story about a guy who forgot his seeds in the cup and DROWNED THEM... yikes

I put seeds directly in soaked rockwool cubes and get 99% germination...

i use paper towels and never had a problem. these pics are from 12 days ago. and remember to put them in a warm dark place.

thats beautiful.lol r those seeds u bought, or seeds from bud. cause is seeds from bud alright?

I've used both paper towel & cup with water in it. I actually like the cup method better. At least in my opinion but everyone does there own thing.

I take a mason jar, fill it about a half of a centimeter and just add some seeds, then put the jar in a dark warm area. Usually my desk drawer

do seeds from bud and ones u order offline have any difference??

Not really, the differance is you know what your growing. Also the seeds tend to be a little bit more successful

my bag seed generally germs faster than sto' bought beans...... but the bud from ordered tends to have a pretty much guarantee on it to be better than bagseed because you know what you are getting, but that dosent necessarily mean that bagseed is no good gene pool either. just tends to be A LOT less good ones. but most are mediocre if raised right.

yeah i just got done with my paper towels. some of the seeds are broken with a stem sticking out. the others cracked and u cand see the white stem inside and some didnt even open up

Give them another day, sounds like there journey has just began.

haha okay.hey i was thinking of useing theses seeds i have now, which are from purple haze bud. but now if i want to get seeds from offline, can i trust them. and if soo what site.

hey i am pretty sure any one of these methods will work, but i actually prefer the sponge method. Take a standard NEW!!! kitchen sponge and take a razor blade, cut the sponge length wise so that the sponge becomes thinner, but dont cut all the way through, 3/4 is enough.. Now place your seeds in the middle of the sponge and dampen the sponge. put in dark WARM place. Seeds wont germinate if its cold. I like this method because it lets in good amount of oxygen and tends not to drown my seeds.

Out of your best sacks and off the net. Trust me, its safe to buy em of the net. But i would try and grow some seeds out of some sacks, so that way incase you mess up, they wont be 40-80$$$ seeds.

i havent messed up yet. nock on wood. but i wanna get some where can you?
