Hey there.

Got a little problem. I have recently bought some seeds. Bubblelicious from nirvana.

I never have any prroblems germinating seeds. But i have with these.

My method is the paper towel method.

I use a plate with a paper towel which is damp put the seeds on another damp paper towel and another plate on top. The towel is always moist n never dry. What seems to be the problem????

Its the only strain ive had problems with

I got them from nirvana and told them my problem so they sent me more out and now im concernd its going to happen with these too. They have been in for a few days now n nothing has changed???

Any help on this please thanks

let me ask you a few things, you said you didn't have problems with any other strain, when was the last time? ie, has it gotten cold where you live? If so, have you germinated any seeds since the cold front? For one batch to not germinate isn't exactly rare with any strain from any breeder, life happens, but twice in a row is unusual. Not that its not the strain, for all I know they came from the same batch and something happened to the batch, but since its easier to check your setup first, start with that this time around...

For that matter, what about the temp of the water when you start germinating them? which really goes back to the first question...

I've gotten BG from nirvana before, they're the only two babies I have left, but that was a good 4-5 months back...Its not strain, I"m sure, but the batch...well, yea, hard to tell isn't it...

Try soaking your seeds 2 days in a small glass of water on top of your hot water heater, then put in a paper towel inside a ziplock bag.

Nirvana Bubblelicious seeds are the bomb.. I have a near 100% success rate with germination. I simply plant them in solo cups with seed starter mix, and mist a few times a day... I keep the tops covered until I see the first leaf. It could be bad seeds, but twice in a row is a hard sell, especially since I haven't seen any other BG germ complaints.

The last time i germinated some seeds were 4 weeks ago and the temps are the same if not a little better. I have always kept my system the same and never had a problem with them. Maybe im being a little impatient on them sprouting as the last lot never lol. Usually i see something happening within 24 hours. Thats why im a little concerned.

with nirvana, it will vary, my favorite 2 I kept is a pink flower with 9-10 week flowering time, and a white flower which finishes at least a week earlier. Gotta say, they've been through hell, especially in this last move, and it was the beginning of flowering which is the worst time for stress, and still no hermie and going strong. Not to mention they smell great, and taste great. I love them....(obviously, only two I kept)
While nirvana doesn't have the most stable genetics, they are good genetics, and to me it gives you the option to choose which pheno you like the most. And I'm all about options... :blsmoke:

Well i usually use nirvana for my seeds. You recomend anywhere else for seeds at a good price?

I have got back home now to see there has been a bit of life lol. There all sprouting so will be potting them all in the morning.

Also one quick question. Is growing weed in compost any good??? I used it on my last grow to start all my seeds and it seemed good. So i thought i would do one of my plants which are on the go now. I dont know if its any good for the plant but it seems to look rather good. Good or bad idea? Im new to the game so still learning and takeing notes

Compost is awesome, There is an outdoor grower, I think his handle is 420God, that uses compost and grows monsters...

Ill have a look at where you get your seeds from see what other strains they have. Thanks for the help bro

I have grown Nirvana Bubblelicious and didn't have any real problems with the germ. I did the paper towel in the ziplock bag method, put the baggie inside a folded had towel and put it near a heat register. They are going to stink bigtime when they are in flower. The high is downright narcotic.

Right now mine our giving off that beautiful smell...I love my babies...†sniffles† No problem Shenko, they have a pretty good selection from lots of different breeders, and they also give freebies they base on what you order. (ie, sativa, indica, or auto)

I'm actually having similar problems with some seeds I'm trying to germinate. They're not the same strain as the OP, and they're not from Nirvana, but I germinated a couple when I first got them in, and now the others in the pack aren't germinating. I'm wondering if it's not a temp thing - what temp is necessary for germination? Also, I stored them in the fridge to keep them fresh - could that have caused problems for me? It's been 7 days since I first put them in the towel, and nothing's happened yet... :wall:

Well i had some seeds off a diff stain which came off one of my female plants not long ago and when i tried to germinate em they didnt work. So i left mine in the fridge for a bit n then tried em again and all the seeds that looked healthy sprouted. I usually leave mine on The side in my grow room which has 2 600w lights on. It is nice and warm im there too. I also dont have the paper towels too wet like dripping wet. Nice and damp and have a look every so often to see how they are doing and to make sure its still damp

That usuall works for me bro
