germinate ?

i have about 16 seeds that im gonna be germinating i was just wondering if this would work
if i get like 4 pieces of paper towel and get them damp then put my seeds between the 4 pieces in a ziplock bag
then i should put them in a dark place right?
once they germinate should i put them in the soil root up,down,or to the side?
ive been keeping my seeds in an empty blunt tube that shouldnt be a problem right?
once i plant them should i water them or wait till they sprout?
any other newbie growing tips would be apreciated.

i put mine in a weet paper towel and then i put the paper towel in a zip lock bag with an opening

put them in the dark yeaa and wen they get a bout 6 inches put them in dirt or hydro and water good if u have holes in the bottom.

so i should put an opening in the bag?

wait till the root gets 6 inches? i normally only wait till its like 2 inches should i start leavin them germinating longer than?

I fold em in a paper towell moist in a ziploc, closed, under a plate in a warm & dark place. Put it dick-down is what most people say, and I do successfully. Keep the soil moist, but not soaking wet. Get a spray bottle and spray it when the top dries. Don't put it under too intense light at the beginning. I did, and im stunted as a motha fucka.

once the seed crachs and a little root tail,plant it. do not let it get 2 or 6 inches. g/l

yea i thought 6 inches was a little long lol the longest the root ever got before i planted it was 2"

so what should i do to keep animals and all that away (i know its late to grow outdoors but i live in fl so it doesnt really matter too much my friend is growing outdoors and his plants doing good it just started flowering early)

also how often should i check my seeds to see if the root popped out?

I leave it 48 hours, then check. Don't do it under heavy light - Ive never heard that, but since they are supposed to be in a dark place...

Some wont germ quick. Check every 24 hours after. I leave em until the paper towell gets nasty since some take longer than others. If you're beyond 10 days, it might be time to locate more seeds. If you are using brick weed seeds, a high percentage will not germinate. I got the opportunity to use bagseed from really danky danks and germed 6/9 of them. With brick weed, Ill germ 1 in 10 if im lucky. I put like 30 on a paper towell 48 hours ago and didnt get any at all - im pretty confident Ill get like 2 before I toss em.

i just did six inches cuz its faster to me

and wen i checked them after 2 days i didnt have my pots ready so i kept them ithe towle for longer, like a day then the roots were already six inches and the leaves were out of the seed

so after three days the roots were 6 inches with leaves showing? never heard anything like that happening before

i just checked my seeds and one of my seeds cracked and has a little root coming out of it but its only been 6 hours? do you think the seed is bad or is it normal?

When I can tell the direction of the tail, ill plant it. Its norm, just a fast seed, ready to hurry up and get smoked by you eventually.

look at the growfaq link at the top left of the page.then select no 2(growing basics)and you will see the plate and bowl technique i use.never fails.
