Neither the Geneva conventions, or any other part of the law of land warfare, preclude us, or any other state, from effectively handling "terrorists". They are simply "unlawful combatants", and measures dealing with them are clearly outlined.
However, we have chosen to IGNORE those laws, and have granted terrorists MORE rights than they are actually afforded.
Why?
Because "we" have been lead by pussies for decades now.
"terrorists" are, like pirates brigands, slavers and cannibals come under the heading Hostis Humani Generis (enemy of all humankind) and have NEVER been accorded any rights beyond a sufficiently stout rope from which to swing.
hamas, hezzhollah, fatah, "al aqsa martyrs brigade", al quaeda, abu sayyaf, isis/isil, the moslem brotherhood, kony and his "lord's resistance army", the cartels in mexico, and any other group that places itself outside the bounds of law and tradition, practicing murder and mayhem for their own amusement and profit deserve no rights, just a quick and violent end.
