so, i have a question regarding growing. im into my 2nd grow. i read an article saying how grapes that were physically stressed produce wine of a better quality, the science being that this makes a thicker skin and more flavor. i know almost all people place importance on not stressing plants, but just wondering why this benefits the vino industry but hampers ours? just a question if stressing plants influence their yield b/c other industries do and it provides benefits. all input is welcome. thanks yall

Stressing a pot plant has the sweet ability of making a female plant grow male parts to pollinate itself and continue the life cycle! Sure we don't like that but it's pretty damn awesome in the greater scheme of things!

First let me say that's a great question!
But what it ultimately comes down to is your comparing apples to oranges here, or grapes to buds. It's not the same.
if u stress a grape plant they may not hermi as easily or at all( I'm no grape expert)
but there are other forms of stress that are beneficial!
LST (not to be confused with LSD :-P) low stress training during veg can increase yeild tremendously!!
SCROG aka screen of green,[]
training a plant or multiple plants to have an even canopy will increase yeild..

ok nice, i love lst (im attaching pics of my current lst gals) and i love the input thanks guys. and i also just want to know if there is a relationship between stressing and improving quality of wine to stressing and improving quality of medication via stressing. i know if there is stress this will delay growth in veg and early flower and lessen yield in mid to late flower, but if you stress a plant in veg heavily, do you think that plant potentially has the capability of producing higher quality medication that its less-stressed sisters? and spencer i agree apples to oranges, but if i grow a strain 5 or so times and know their tolerance, if i stress it to the maximum level without getting it to turn hermi, will it be more potent than if i did not stress the plant?

heres the lst girls

In my personal opinion from my own observation, I don't think stressing increases potency.. I would say from my personal experience that not stressing them, feeding/watering properly, and keeping proper temps would increase potentcy..
