General Hydroponics Rainforest 66 or...?

Hey has anyone used the General Hydroponics Rainforest 66 system for a full grow? I wasted so much time on trying to perfect an ultrasonic foggr system I kinda lost track of reality lol. That and the system I built can't be converted to traditional aero. I have a hydrohut 2'x4', if anyone has any ideas for simple to maintenance and utilize aeroponics systems for that space please, I could use the advice... I'm so very tired of building ANYTHING myself I just want to poney up the cash and have a warranty.

How long have you had your HydroHut? Many growers have been having trouble with them, and I just heard they have a recall of the product.

Ask the store where you bought it.

Do you know what the recall was for? I know mine is bowing a bit under the weight of my hps, vortec fan and home-made mounting board... god that would suck to have to disassemble that thing!

Shit I just googled it... volatile organic compounds leaching from the plastic! Fuck that sucks... and I wanted to implement UVB in my current soil grow. That ends THAT option right there.
This may actually explain why I have had some issues with my mother, I just transplanted it to fresh soil. If THAT doesn't fix my mother than I will have to send the whole system back for repairs.
I have not been pleased with the dimensions of my Hydrohut, became far more limiting to my growing than I thought... a 3x3' would be better. I'm going to look into the Dark Room brand grow rooms.... I would need to in order to use UVB anyway.

Send the defective hydro hut back
and make your own grow room.

Paint it white, or......

Get some poly shield.

Poly Shield, 100 ft.
Price: $199.99

Poly Shield is a black and white poly measuring 6' x 100'. Poly Shield is infused with metals that give it special properties that are highly reflective and protect the covered area form outside intrusive sources.

A thermal imager is extremely sensitive and reportedly can detect temperature variations as small as 0.1 degrees centigrade. The images created by the device can be projected onto a small viewing screen or preserved on video tape or photographs. The picture above shows a standard 1000 watt MH bulb glowing behind regular black poly on the left, and Poly Shield on the right, demonstrates the reflective qualities of the product.

Poly Shield is a single product that insulates against heat and cold, serves as an excellent vapor barrier, and is extremely reflective. This is an absolute must to seal your Grow Room and insure peace of mind!! Now available in 50 ft. rolls.

You can line a closet and hang your lights from the ceiling,
where there is enough support.

Then go to walmart
and get a tub
and air pump
and power head
and make your own DWC tub.

You can make your own net pots
by drilling lots of holes in a regular plastic pot.

Don't waste money on airstones,
just stick the tube from the air pump
into the tub,
right under the net pot
like in the pic above.

Thanks man, I appriciate in the info. There is a new brand of grow rooms on the market called "Dark Room" brand... uses the same material and I'm so sick of building things, it's only $50 more. Thanks for te info on the DWC Tub though. I may make a slightly larger (and longer) one for my setup, although I REALLY want aeroponics, I just hate the idea of clogged misters.

Thanks, I have seen that thread before, however I am working in very limited space. I have built a similar system however I had plumbing difficulties. I'm a good designer, I can mimic others designs but implementing them seems to be my major shortcoming. I outright SUCK at even the simplest plumbing, but having CP doesn't help my precision... hence why I grow. Thats why i was looking into a pre-built system, if it goes wrong, I can bring it back to the hydro shop or send it out.
However, for the space I have I may have to look at another form of hydroponics. I loath to abandon my ambitions of aero-speed growth but a DWC bucket might end up being my best option. Simple, hard to fuck up etc. Or even passive hydro, but thats only worth it if I use hydro-organics...
Nature's Nectar brand has a new hydro-organic, completely soluble nutrient line that never needs Ph adjustment. Growers Edge just reviewed it and so far it's pretty amazing stuff and delivers what it promises. So thats even easier and more fuckup-proof lol. I just read the article and, in conjunction with all the trouble I have had in the past, it just may sway me.

Anyway, thanks for the advice guys, but I'm high as balls, peace!

Rainforest 66 is a good setup. Check out my grow. look at three plants before we killed the boys. I am using a 400W HPS with CO2 and a dehumidifier

Why do you believe you need to go organic hydro.

I just don't understand it.

The plants need the same chemicals to grow
whether the chemicals come from a microbes ass, or a refined process.

Plants cannot eat any different chemicals because they come from dead material.

Nitrogen is still nitrogen,
Oxygen is still oxygen,
carbon is still carbon
etc etc etc.........
