This is probably a silly question, but I couldnt find anything about it in the forums (maybe my search wasn't well enough) Is a clone guaranteed to be female? Do I need to sex a clone before i try and flower it?

The clone is the exact same as the Mother plant. So yes if taken from a female plant it is female and carries same genetics etc.

If you're just starting out, and not sure if your plant is a male or female, yes, take clones.. throw one into flower while the rest veg and wait and see what the sex is.. if the cutting is female, they are all female. If it's male.. they are all male... chuck em and start over.

A clone is a exact genetic copy of whatever donor or mother plant you took it from. If you take it from your super dank female plant that you only have one seed of clone it, and all those clones will be exactly like her.

I think I learned something here. I thought you cloned after you went to the flower stage and you knew they were gals. I think what I read is clone earlier to help determine if they are gals. Can you clone once they are in flower stage?? That would seem to be the thing to do.

that is not the thing to do. u can clone plants in flower but they take longer to root. you want to clone before you flower so they can root, veg nd be flowered as well
