i'm planning on using stealth hydro house nutes for first grow as it seems most simple to use is a ppm. meter an absolute must using these nute packets??? & ive started clones in soil . if i had to could i rinse soil from roots&start in bubbleponic??? or should i start new ones in cubes[rockwool] was planning next grow in dirt & buying 315wcfl.b/p combo from s.h. well finances being what they are i'll be making my b/p &buying their 29dollar pkg nutes my house water tests at ph.7.o & ppm of 70 they say their nutes are designed to work with most water i let my tap water stand 48hr. in kiddie pool to evap chlorine i have limited access to ppm. meter& figured i could use ph. strips to start my woter is consistantly the same [4 random tests in 5 mos.] have most materials needed to build bubbleponic would like to get started one grow ahead of time i think i read somewhere that roseman did a b/p grow without a ppm. meter any input appreciated....thankskiss-ass

I did three grows with NO meters and using the pre-packaged nutes.

Yes, but rinse every grain of soil off.

or should i start new ones in cubes[rockwool]

Yes, you can easily start seeds in it.

rinse the soil with room temp water, too hot or cold ain't soo good

when you switch to another type of nute. and you will. get a pump bag, those little 1/4 inch hoses that go to each root cup love to get clogged. the pump bag helps.

hey stonedar&roseman a bbbbiggg thanks for your replies just got back from running around[scrounging materials] i've got a peice of nylon windowscreen to put around the pump .thats a good idea for sure i have everything but the pond pump &air stone the tote & drip system head i have .also i need the baskets &rock stuff i'm pretty handy at fabricating things i'm wanting to get this project going maybe this evening i'll get started thanks....

need 6 baskets & the pond pump got pretty much all the rest trying to keep it simple gonna order the 29 dollar nutes[stealth hydro brand] seems to be best choice for my resources & skill level at this timei'm sure i'll be asking more questions& i'll re-read your diy. stuff as well as first time b/p grower threads to see if some of ?s. might already be answered thanks h.h.

Hey there, what did you decide for your baskets? i found some similar sized rubbermaid Tote away's and drilled out the bottoms of them. i like the idea on the screen over the end of the feeder tube. i'm also going with the 29 dollar nutes, after reading roseman's tutorial it seemed like a pretty good choice for my level and budget. good luck!
