GDP question?

the pics below show 3 GDP'S with some nice colas, indoor and with very few leaf's. the GDP with the 3 foot ruler in front is one of my clones that I am going to put to flower soon.
The question is how can I get my colas indoor, to grow like the ones in the other pics? Min

I have grown gdp a few times and the top cola gets big but the lower ones are blocked by all the leaf's and grow small or dont mature fast enough.

Should I start pruning off most of the lower leafs and branches before flowering or just leave them.
My goal is to have all the colas it flowers to be big and mature and ready for harvest at the same time.

thanks

I use vertical fluoro side lighting to hit the lower buds. I will trim some fans to get light down a bit or light up a bud site.

Keeping the plant short (less than 2 feet tall in flower) will allow more intense light to the bottom of the plant. Training or bending the plant over is another thing to do.

The top buds are bigger and mature faster no matter what I do, but doing some of the things I listed will improve the bottom buds. The genetics of the plants make the top buds bigger period. Even with the side lighting the bottom buds develop later than the top.

Do some of the things I listed but do not stress if it does not work perfect, cause it won't.
