I’m pretty sure you’re correct. I went to growdaddyled and bought knock off Quantum boards. They were still 500 bucks, but it’s a dollar a watt, 500 watts. They’re working great so far. Says it has Samsung LEDs, I’m sure they’re Chinese knockoffs though. Seem to be working really good and have no complaints. Can’t wait to get 4 R-spec boards tho!

You can get a dollar a watt fixture from floraflex with name brands parts and support if you need another light. I don’t have one but the specs are real nice, they came out right after I chose fixtures.

You cant go wrong with the scorpion, i like em how it doesnt get hot. Im only using half power to it and thats enough on a 5 x 5. Ive only been using it for a month, since i had to replace my existing one that i got 6 years ago. didnt notuce it wasnt emitting what it should and cost me a few months dialing everything. I also got the geekbeast monster board i loved the fueature but shit gets hot.

I can’t wait to upgrade my light. I will keep this one for a couple more grows and buy the R-Spec boards. I’ll have to check out the fixtures from floraflex.

Thanks Im working on the room now and hope to have the first run going by the new year. I’ll start a journal so anyone who wants can check it out and I can get help/advice I’m sure I’ll need at some point.

You need to use it ASAP. Lol defo lovin the scorpion, 12th day since i switch the geekbeats to HLG to flower. Only using 60% of max
