Gaia green organic

Hi gang,

I just recently started using Gaia Green with Fox Farm Ocean Forest and have been tuning into this thread for advice. Its my first run in soil coming from Coco and salts. Thanks for all the great input from everyone here, been learning lots. I fucked up my first test run with top dressing Gaia Green, I didn't mix it into the soil before hand and it ran out of nutrients halfway through flower and the whole plants have been turning yellow. Buds are small but trichome production is ok. I hope to do better on the next run.

Here are my current seedlings/teens. Started out in Happy Frog soil and then top dressed 3 weeks in with 4-4-4. Some of them look good and healthy with a dark green while a few are quite light green in colour. Hopefully they come back after the second top dressing. Any advice from the organic/Gaia Green experts in here would be greatly appreciated. Happy growing everyone!

Organic soil doesnt create a salt built up deficiency. Nutrients usually breaks down into assimilable nutrient to the plant as decoposition happens. Its a feed the soil not the plant. (the living soil will then feed the plant). You can had lots of organic fertilizer to you soil and it will not burn your plant like most fertilizer used for hydroponic will. But an un balance in nutrient can create an nutrient '' element'' lock out.. So of course. Like mention. You don' t want to flush out biodiversitie of micro organism and available nutient. As ut would cause your soil to increase micro-organismes to reproduce to bounce back and help with the decomposition of matter in order to have the nutruent in the fertilizer to be available for the plant to feed on... In the same reason you do not make a comete water change in a home aquarium... There would be no poind of growi g in organique soil if there isnt any organism to break down organic matters and mineral.
Isn't all NPK salts technically?

Thanks. Yeah, I've been top dressing 1/4 strength every week 1:1:1 with 444, 284, Oyster Shell Flower and some worm castings. Been working pretty good so far.

Not all. Fish fertilizer can burn your plants if not used right.

Hey guys,
I don’t seem to have the growth I expected on this run. Currently at the 7th week of flower. Not very chunky…

I was using Gaia green all through veg and until the 4th week of flower . I also introduced some NPK formula with my water during flower - am I over fertilising ?
Could also be lack of LUX from my
quantums - started at about 15000 and now 25000 during flower .
Humidity around 50
Temps 24 and 19 at night.

Any help much appreciated !!

You need the microbes to chow down on the dry,ewc mixed in and covered to keep moist so it all stays alive.
Also needs time,pre cook.

Thanks bud , I’ve been giving them recharge and molasses every weekend . One thing I haven’t been doing is giving them worm castings during top dress. Should I prep that before hand ?

Not a fan of molasses ,your soil isnt covered? You cant let the surface go dry.

I amend heavy 444 in 15 gallon fabric pot with promix hp and top dress once with 284 at this stage. Only defolate once where the light is going and lower part, a few days after you top dress
Gaia green is the shit. The key is to mend it with ur fingers at least once a few weeks after u top dress. You want your bud to burn white? Dont use 444 in flower. Also plan on using what u put in.
