I couldnt disagree with you more and my patients certainly would not tolerate fluff LOL. With the posible exception of the first 2 pics above they are fluffy buds
and in my area would not be close to A grade but would perhaps make the C grade cut.
Fluff =/= quality. More an indicator of regional dominance in the variety... the best shit in the world is pure fluff (Thai's/haze).

that's because they're so brainwashed, they refuse to even TRY something that goes against what they've been conditioned to think is good weed, but the fact remains, more people would rather get high than stoned with a very small percentage demanding stone only. if your patients got the chance to TRY some REAL trippy columbian gold, it would rock their world and expectations. bag appeal is just another reason cash crappers piss me off, besides taking thousands of dollars of my money and almost three decades of my life never getting me high ONCE (i'd rather smoke mexican brick so fuck bag appeal to death!), they've also managed to turn innocent peeps into brainwashed zombies that reject actual quality bud on sight without even trying it. such is the power of social engineeri8ng and heresay or as i like to call it, heresy.

don't think sativas have med use? well, last year, i grew out a high quality seeds haze x skunk... the second most trippy and most potent high i ever had in my life after columbian gold. it LITERALLY saved my life by getting me off a six pack of rot gut a night that was trying to choke me to death every morning with acid reflux! it seriously helped with depression as well as madde me lose over 10 pounds in just a week by simply ignoring hunger pangs. i wasn't trying to diet on purpose, it just happened. once i realized i lost the weight, i started doing crunches to get even trimmer.

methinks what you're saying your patients want is REALLY what YOU want because you know if you gave them some jack herer or better, they'd start demanding that and if there's anything growers for cash hate, it's giving up yield and precious dollars. i'd never be a "med user", and i've toild probably a couple dozen purveyors of indica all to go fuck themselves the second they give me any drama for stealing my money on inferior product.

i'll gladly pay TOP DOLLAR for any old school fluffy anyone has, no really, i don't have diddly to smoke right now, and the day i was gifted a fat gram of kali mist, i BEGGED to pay an insane $120 for an eigth of that. you can keep you indicrap... i don't want it.

"bag appeal" is like the redneck who buys a yugo or ford escort and puts racing stripes, ground effects, a rear spoiler, a hood scoop and a decal that says turbo on the side. none of it makes a piece of crap go any faster. LOL

Me personally, I'm not a (heavy) indica person - but I have my reasons. Mainly because I have clinically diagnosed neurological problems... I'm sure you know enough at med's as to why sativa's help me better. I had the same issues with my "old" dealer before I became legal. A few times I would get a good sativa and request that he ask for it again. He would yell at me giving me all kinds of shit about how it wasn't that good, and sativas take too long to grow, are stringy with no bag appeal, etc.

"I started smoking in the 70's and remember the quality of the highs were amazing. They induced fits of laughter, incredible munchies, made you feel uplifted, inspired and happy. I noticed a drop in effects around the early 90's. Didn't really know what had happened, but the fun high sorta went away. I shrugged it off thinking maybe it was my tolerance had gotten to high or just getting older in age that lowered the quality of the buzz.

It wasn't until I started talking to other smokers around my age and slightly younger that I realized it wasn't just me. Many people agreed the "fun stuff" disappeared in the early 90's.
&
Some of the best highs I ever had were males plants and it was not this dense bud stuff you see today. It was just dried, BROWN leaves. We would smoke this stuff and laugh straight for 2 1/2 hours! It would cause visual and audio hallucinations, colors were VIBRANT, everything sparkled to the extreme where you could barely see even squinting your eyes almost entirely shut. It was an instant good time. One joint for 5 people and we all got RIPPED, for hours!

It seems all of the smokers today are all caught up on the appearance, taste, smell, texture, stickyness of the buds and all this bogus horseshit. But who really cares. They quality of the high with all this shit is lame. They've almost turned smoking weed into a wine connoisseur type of hobby. It's stupid.
and i've never minced words of my flat out contempt and deep seated hatred of indicas from the very first time i got ripped off for $8 on 3 grams of that useless shit. it seems indica growers don't even want anyone to know they have a choice. that's the only reason i can think of that i draw trolls like stink on a skunk's ass. i fight back against their little power trip. i only wish ALL people that know what getting high really is were more vocal about it. the truth is being suppressed.

Your 4 weeks into flower sativa was that good huh?
Who do you think you are fooling? You grew a 12 week sativa for 4 weeks and you thought it was incredible, pretty much sums you up.

If you ever do actually smoke some real weed you wont know what to do with yourself.

Hazey your so pathetically full of shit and full of yourself. For you to say that people who dont prefer what you like best are either just wrong or ignorant just
screams ASSHOLE. My patients have sampled kali mist, lemmon thai, nevilles haze, killing fields , jack herer, ect ect...I wouldnt give them colombian but it could be used as composted mulch
around these parts. Of all your old school sativas you brag about good cali sour diesel puts them all to shame!

P.S keep smoking that Mexican brick its got your name on it!

Could someone explain to me the correlation between the appearance of weed and it's "medicinal value". If I have a headache. I take an advil. Dont think I ever cared if it was a white tablet or blue gelcap. Whichever one gets rid of the headache is the one that works.

The whole medicinal and patient, caregiver thing is laughable. And that's not meant towards anyone actually providing help to those who actually need it.

if the weed is potent you can see large sums of visible trichomes .. .. questions like these make me wonder if you ahve ever even purchased and smoked more than one time or at all

obviously you have but still

i have nerve pain its not a headache . . . . . . . .and is very constant everyday if i dont consume copious amounts of cannabis or concentrate . .. so being able to visible see a difference between A+ and B or C grade is the first sign of potency smell also is sign of potency terps have long been associated with cannabinoids and resin production . . . . .these things should be basic but i guess if all you ever smoke is one grade you wouldnt knwo the differnce

Actually been smoking 20+, and have smoked more than enough high grade and plenty of shwag and everything in between. Sometimes the weed that looks incredible wasn't and sometimes the shit that looked crappy was fire. Point was a picture of weed posted on a website IMO has zero credibiltity as to it's quality. This guy is calling SkunkMonkey's GGG grade C shwag. If thats schwag then lay some on me. And in regards to large sums of visible trichomes, I think I remember reading Uncle Ben saying that he has sativa's with almost zero visible trich's that took his head off. As for ailments, I have nerve damage, plenty of RMI's and suffer from cluster headaches. And you know what works the best . Not weed.

Wasn't trying to attack anyone but it's so funny all the experts on here look at a picture and say, yep that's fire, or no, that's garbage.

i think the funniest trends are the names, and hype

smoking it is the final test but a well trained smoker, for exmple someone who has smoked lots of lineages of strains and genetics from parents to sisters to progeny . . . or even if you have a ton of stuff move and get feedback

and ya i dont know what that guy was talking about skm has chronic buds

so many flavors these days , i try to stick to genetics lines vs names or hype phenos . . .althoug i have found afew rare phenos in my seed popings

I dunno man the people I know pass out on my fluffy bud. Some of that stuff could be the fire you don't know until you smoke it. Smell is probably the second best indicator IMO

I wish I had the ability to gather that type of information, in a non mmj state and have limited experience in regards to strains. Starting to learn more and more as I go though and LOVE IT!! And what your saying about names and hype tie in with what I was thinking when I replied about pics of plants and bud. Names and pics IMO mean zero if you cant grow a plant properly. And my comment was aimed more I guess at the new/newer grower like myself. One of the first runs I did looked GORGEOUS. Too bad the smoke sucked. I didnt have the dry/cure procedure dialed in. too bad the pictures couldnt get me high cause the weed definitely didn't.

You mentioned nerve damage/pain. Anything you can recommend? I've always used cannabis for recreation but if there is something that can offer me relief why not give it try?

chem works good and so do many Hawaiians . . .i have good luck with the same meds MS patients use, winter is worse and i have to mix in pain reduction strains but all in all a good sativa dom hybrid normally doesnt he trick

my patients with arthritis and the other a degenerative spinal condition like indicas and my harlequin joe from gage, great all around strain for medicating

Thanks Samwell, figures though. My small setup probably wouldn't be best for the hardcore sativas. I do have a C99 goin, maybe I'll get lucky!

I think skunk monkey pics looks great ..plants look extremely healty and happy ...

The fluff ..touchy subject ..from what I can gather from smoking/ growing fluffy strains and dense strains ..

Fluff -more for your $ ..for a smoker or caregiver that's a good thing ..burns faster ..flavor is somewhat affected ..some smoke "airy" but still good stuff

Dense-you get less for your $ ..burns slower ..flavor is usually better than a fluffier strain ..is known to be more potent*

Another thing over looked is the indica sativa thing ..most rock hard indicas will give u a lethergic feeling ..compared to a sativa that' usually gives u airy buds the high will be racy and active ..

I like dense buds myself but Idc about it to much as long as its fire ..I use density as an indicator for quality myself but it's not the ultimate deal breaker
