So now that I have the plants and Im taking care of the overwatering now by waiting for the soil to dry out. I put the plants under the 400w MH every night and under the sun in the morning to conserve energy, but I think one of them got burned but im not to sure if it could be nute burn from the soil.
This is the one with the nute or light burn, its also on the stem under the leaf.
This is the other plant that is tall limpy but shows more growth than the other.
Its going to take some time and light to get these plants back up and I cant wait to start feeding with nutes, I think I made my mind up and go with general organics go box for this first grow.

Checked the plants this morning and found that one of two seeds my friend gave me to see if they would germ actually sprouted, I wasnt expecting anything honestly but it did.
now we have three babies and who knows the other might sprout after watering since Im drying out the soil, how long should I wait until I should water and should I water with nutes?

Leaving your ballast on 250w should be better for your seedlings, and be plenty of light for a couple weeks. Personally, I leave seedlings under light 24/0. I wouldn't feed with nutes until it gets bigger... water it when the soil starts to dry out.
They should be ok, just don't burn them with your light, don't give them nutes, and when you transplant bury that stretchy stem some.

Hey bro Yeah it will happen the og13 seems to start off pretty slowly well it seemed to me that it was slow but now it is thriving its 4 weeks old now and looks healthy to me it stretched a little at the start but i figured that problem out by reading on this web site at other peoples problems because thats what its here for we all learn somthing new all the time but yours seem to be coming along quite nicely

Im unable to keep the light on 24/0, Im trying to keep it as stealth as possible for the time being until I get a tent and carbon filter. How much electricity does a tent with 600w HPS with ballast, 6" inline fan maybe a 4" just because its only 2 max 3 plants at a time, and an oscillating fan bring my bill up to? and anything else I may have forgot to include?
I placed the three shorties in the sun and the one that just sprouted is showing faster growth compared to how long it took for the first two to get where they're at. Technically they didnt get as much attention after sprouting since I didnt have much access but oh well.. heres some more pics, I think I'll be taking day by day pics from now on..

Still looks like we're trying to recover.. The new seedling looks healthy though, it started with the right light above it.. Im thinking of getting bio root and more soil, I have potting soil you find from a local walmart it says premium but is that ok to use with cannabis? I connected a computer fan to a home phone wall charger and got the plants moving a little, before they just got light, thats why they have limpy stems..

I water every 2-3 days depending on the soil and how the plant looks compared to the past couple of days. I noticed some N, P, K deficiencies on one of the plants today but there is still one of my first two plants that is looking bad, the lower leaf is looking really bad you can see it in the pictures I tried getting a close up, what could it be should I feed with nutes? light, no light? to close, not close enough?

Idk what to do with the plants, they are showing very slow growth.. I know they got shocked or maybe needs some root developer?? I have them under a 275w MH about 17in away from the plant.. I fed with bio thrive 433 formula from general organics.. What more can I do?

Patience my friend......they will come along....honestly your plants are kinda small for feeding but a light feed won't hurt.....I would water about once a week...till they get a little more growth....I'm growing the same og13 and its a little slow to get going......mines about 6 weeks from seed now...

So to answer your soil question? I'm not familiar with the stuff from Walmart but about five years ago I learned the hard way that most soils in Walmart, lowest, home depot ect. Are garbage....my plants would not grow for Shit...my advice is to go ahead and buy some promix or fafard from your local nursury.....ask yourself? Do they grow in soil from Walmart? NO! You need a light soil mix or no matter what kind of root promoter you put in it, it just won't work in it....you got good lights and food so my guess for slow growth is your soil....that's my opinion and I'm not always right..if I can help please don't hesitate to ask me.

fill the pot up to the top, and it wont be as stretched. as for slow growth, ull be surprised what it can do still.

This is day 26 from july 9th and today I checked on the plant and one of them is showing to be a female with white hairs, I'll update pics soon. Trying to get Pro Mix BX any tips appreciated..

looks too young to show sex during veg. i dont think they show until 5-6 weeks i can be wrong. i always flowered to sex mine.

Well this is my first grow Im more likely wrong from lack of experience, but I do see white hairs coming from the bigger plant its been almost 2 weeks with that one from seed on July 1st. It was one I didnt expect to grow but there it is out growing my babies that have been growing since June 14, I didnt have them from seed but they're still going so I dont mind the extra wait..
I'll be getting some pro mix bx sooner rather than later and add some perlite in 3gallon buckets. I did some research and found I should wash away the soil I have the plants in and get rid of as much as I can without damaging the roots and transplant them. I should expect little to no growth for the first week and then a difference afterwards that should be quite noticeable.. What I'll be doing different is folier feeding after a few more days and I placed the plants in a bucket of foil for refection until I get a tent..
