you shouldn't have to add nutes till 2-3 weeks from seedling state. Regular perlite, vermiculite and peatmoss will be enough for plant growth up until vegetative stage (2-3 weeks from prevegative/seed stage)

Sweet bro. Just curious, how many and what watt cfls you got?
Also how close are they to the plant?
Do you have a fan oscillating 24/7? If not you should consider it, they really boost stem strength and can help with the heat.
Keep us posted, and goodluck

thanks for all the input. each plant has its own blue spectrum 100w equiv. cfl about 6in. above them. i have 2 small fans running 24/7 which has been enough to keep my temp down(between 74-84). I plan to get a few more lights when they get a bit bigger and i will upgrade the fans and put a ventalation system in when the HPS goes in. The Afghani is on the right and the G13 is on the left as they will be for the rest of this thread.

Ok tip one: Don't pay attention to the equiv. number, but the actual wattage and lumens.
Tip two: You can move them closer without hurting them dont be scared! cfls dont get very hot
Tip Three: If you feel like it, I personally think a mix of spectrum works best. I recommend a mix of 6500K and 2800K
Hope any of this helps!

I like that you put the lights so close. Most people leave them so far away they stretch like 4 inches as seedlings.

Sounds like you're on the right track. Those are staying pretty bushy as well.
Look forward to further updates.
