Fuzzy white roots?

I was tending to my plants, and chopping the yard. I saw one of my plants had something white growing out of it. I thought it was another plant that blew into the pot, but I pulled it up. It was a root, and it was fuzzy like mold. The humidity's high here, it's been raining all week. I keep them out of the rain I don't let any more water then I want to go into them go in them. Is this something I should worry about, anyone know what it is? Pictures. It was growing up out of the soil.

nothing to worry about i dont think, looks like they are coming into contact with air, i wouldent worry about it (it's still white)

Yea the big root that's "root 3" and "root 1" was the one sticking up out of the soil. The other little cluster of roots in the other pictures was under the dirt around the one growing out. Yea I also read it was just going crazy, and sprouting out tons of new tiny roots from the root being saturated for a while. Coolness.

dude did you dig them out? if so you shouldn't have. they are called adventurous roots, i've also heard people refer to them as feeder roots and it's natural.

I didn't dig them out. I just barely pulled it up. Like I said it was sticking out of the soil. I keep my topsoil pretty broken up.

My root sometimes behaves abnormally when I'm feeling adventurous also, don't worry about it, but don't be cutting off adventurous roots, that's Lorena Bobbit's territory !!!

Adventitious is what you're looking for. Ah wiki. Adventurous lol

Well at least this will be a good thread for all newbie's/people who don't know now.
