Fungus Gnat or???

I have a small grow tent I use for early veg. I noticed there were a few insects in there today. I assumed the were fungus gnats. But, I managed to kill one without smashing it and it has "serrated" back legs. All the pics of fungus gnats I've found are slimmer with tiny legs. Any ideas?

Not too sure.

Try googling about insects in your area. You’d be surprised what comes up.

Specify garden insects and your locality.

Could be some kind of leaf hopper aka stink bug?

Almost thinking they're fruit flies! But doesn't look like a fungus gnat, correct?

no it doesn't look like a gnat it looks way too big and thicc

That's what I thought too. Pics of gnats were much more slender with tiny legs. Thanks.
