Fudged Up Cannabutter - Need Recipe To Hide Green Taste!

Hey there,

I accidentally skipped ahead and made cannabutter from very finely ground but still wet trimmings/popcorn bud (found one recipe that mentioned to dry only after I started...) I have a suspicion that it is going to taste of green plant. Can anyone recommend a recipe to help mask that as much as possible?

freeze the trimmings for about 30min-1 hour grind them up fine if u can then boil water then add butter on low till melted and then add trims and buds etc simmer for an hour or 2.About 4 cups of water and 2 sticks of butter and 2 oz of trim and bud will do ya.

Yea the butter got made already.
We would prefer cookies to brownies but whatever will hide the taste (either by drowning it out or complementing it) best.

3/4 cup sugar..1 egg..1.5 cups of canna butter..1 tablespoon vanilla extract.. 2.5 cups of flour..1 teaspoon baking soda..1/4 teaspoon salt..1 cup of peanut butter..350 degrees for 10-12 minutes...u can add 1/2 cup of nuts or chocolate chips if you wish

Fuck man a cup of peanut butter? lol
Those are gonna be some chewy ass cookies. But if that don't mask the flavor nothing will.

Rewash it?

carefully simmer canabutter in water, freeze, skim, and repeat until happy?

water cured would work good to start though?

or you can purify the butter by simply putting it in hot water brought ot a simmer. Theres a thread on it on here. Since thc isint water solvable only the chlorophyll, excess cute , and salts stay in the water and the butter tastre 50x better with no potency loss. Try it out i did it many times with great success.

Bumping this old post because I found this thread with Google and need help on the same issue. Tried searching the archive (and also Google) but because "boiling water" is part of the process for making butter it was impossible for me to find information on boiling already made butter.

So, I would very much appreciate help on this. I have some cannabutter. It's made. I now want to find out if I can do anything to help improve the taste. It sounds like I need to simmer the water (not boil). Do I just dump the butter in? How long does it "cook" for? What do I do afterwards? Thanks for any help.

Always 4x wash when using plant material.

Step one, the butter should be made using liquid/liquid extraction. Meaning you extract and decarb using water and fat, I use atleast 4x as much water as fat(coconut oil works best, butter is fine if you don't mind the gross separated milk solids)

At this point strain the plant material from the water/fat mixture.

After your done there, put the water and fat mixture in a mason jar and let it separate(cool on counter for 2 hours then put in fridge).

Drain out the gross water, contains a lot of the "green" taste and likely particulate plant material.

I'm assumeing you didn't do any of that but you can still move on to the next steps.

Put fresh water in the mason jar with the fat and heat it up just enough to melt the fat. Shake the shit out of the jar to mix up the water and fat and let it separate again. Drain and repeat this a total of 4 times. This is called "washing".
