lol, really?
Lol. Yeah really.

If you cannot see that glaringly obvious point there is no need to dumb it all down
Even further so people can grasp the point.

They used a recognized name to sell a product and some jerk off took it a step further because apparently using the name to sell drugs was all cool with certain folk.

Not pointing fingers. ;)

I feel you on the body tip. I have a thing for dancers and runners. Big tits are just fun to look at yo, and if I'm trying to sell a product, best believe I'd have a big tittied girl out on the floor with a tiny bikini top selling that shit.

Edit: I just notice the wave of small titty comments. I was being a smart ass. I mean how many ads do you see a day with chicks and the their big tits hanging out?

No small tits don't mean a little girl, but bigger boobs usually mean a chick over 15 so that is somewhat better than the photo in question and no I don't think any woman should ever get breast jobs. Just be happy with what you got.

I don't understand how people don't see that both the people who named the strain and the people who posted the ad are both preying upon the same group.

Girl Scouts.

Neither are better than the last.
Man...that's beyond a reach. As a previous poster noted, GSC the weed, was named because a particular pheno smelled like the mint cookie the girl scouts used to sell door to door. You're probably familiar with the smell - and the cookie - and therefore, the idea of the strain creator. Like Agent Orange, and Tangie and Cherry Pie. Dig?

So, to be clear - the strain is not Girl Scout Nookie, no matter how hard you try to make the equivocation. No offense.

The sexualization of children, and child porn, leads to awful, inhuman things. Like molestation, rape, and murder.[/QUOTE]

" child porn" in fact is " molestation, rape ".

Obviously, that's not a major concern to the afficienados, is it?

It does sound like that's what we're dealing with some of these guys in here, doesn't it? A bunch of NAMBLA members, that used to frequent the AOL chat rooms in the mid 90's, which is fucking grotesque.
In case none of you know what I'm talking about, please read this.

"One day in late 1994, by then living in Ohio, Crimmins logged on to an AOL chat room for survivors of abuse. One of the participants told him there was child pornography on other chat rooms. The horrifying images Crimmins saw there led him to go undercover. Over a period of months, he gathered evidence on the pedophiles who were using the site to trade images of children being sexually abused.

Crimmins repeatedly alerted AOL, but he chafed at what he said were months of pro-forma responses from the company. (It was later reported that AOL was conducting its own investigation.) So he alerted the FBI. Two agents showed up at his home, and Crimmins gave them nearly two dozen floppy disks that contained images of children being sexually abused, along with the names and addresses of the senders.

When the door closed behind the agents, Crimmins broke down, finally able to release his emotions but still haunted by the images of victimization and sexual brutalization he had witnessed. “You look into that kid’s eyes, and you can just about see the humanity going out of him,’’ he said somberly.

But his efforts didn’t end there. Two months later, on July 24, 1995, Crimmins testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee, which was considering legislation to crack down on the use of computer networks to transmit pornography. From his opening sentence, the comedian used his knack for the memorable sound bite to turn up the heat as high as he could.

“There is a major crime wave taking place on America’s computers,’’ Crimmins told lawmakers. “The proliferation of child pornography trafficking has created an anonymous pedophile superstore.’’ He blasted AOL as “unresponsive and arrogant,’’ adding bitingly: “If AOL just put a percentage of the effort it makes to spin-doctor away its culpability for these problems into solving them, inexpensive and effective solutions could be found.’’

AOL attorney William Burrington told the committee that the company had hired numerous “cybercops’’ to expel child pornographers from chat rooms. “We don’t want their business,’’ Burrington said.

A month after Crimmins gave his testimony, the FBI made more than a dozen arrests and searched 120 homes across the county, culminating a two-year investigation (called “Innocent Images’’) into the use of AOL to facilitate sex with children and to disseminate child pornography. Among those arrested were several people who had been tracked by Crimmins; the evidence he had gathered had become part of the “Innocent Images’’ investigation. By September 1997, the FBI investigation had resulted in more than 120 indictments and nearly 150 convictions.

Crimmins is heartened to think he played a role in sparing children from being attacked and exploited. “There’s kids who would have been harmed who weren’t harmed,’’ he said. “That bus never hit them. They’re just living their lives.’’

Very few of us that have been hit by that bus go on to live any sort of meaningful existance. Most end up hopelessly addicted to booze, and other hard drugs, in an unsuccessful effort to try and forget everything from their past. The PTSD episodes, inability to trust, and inescapable, never ending nightmares, make it extremely hard to function productively in everyday society. There are a few of us though, strong enough to have survived, and beat the odds. You can always spot us, were the ones who going running back into the fray, trying to save someone else from ever knowing that pain.

This is still going?

Who in here is defending child porn or rape? Did I miss something?

Crimmins was just on Joe Rogan's podcast and that guys been through some shit. Hardly a personality suited for alcohol and open conversation though. Was disturbing to listen to the things he suffered himself as well as the stuff he encountered at AOL. Horrible stuff. Worth a listen I suppose if you feel like being completely depressed.

He ends up getting very drunk and ranty by the end. Would have been more interesting if they kept the drugs and alcohol away and just had the conversation. With such a sensitive topic and the horrible things that guy went threw it's easy to see why his emotions would get the better of him, the alcohol didn't help one bit. There was quite a few fuck-sprees angry sad ones.

Ya know I gotta say; I'm pretty surprised by some people in here. "She's not that young you guys", "if there's grass on the field..."

I work with children and it's absolutely insane and disgusting to me what some of them have dealt with already in life. There are pedos everywhere man. Even on this site.

Edit: and there you have it. I'm usually not too passionate on most topics and have a "meh, whatever" approach to most politics/issues etc. I think anyone who has/works with children or was a victim as a child may be a bit more sensitive on an issue like this. Sorry if I bummed anyone out in this thread! :)

I am shocked that RIU is crying about strain names. If you were passing your blunts to your homies and tell them it's called : Spongebob Dicknuts or Purple Penis ...

WHO FUCKING CARES ?

GSC is " just " a name .... The actual organization is the only one crying.
Are we tokers , smokers and Hemp Heads ? ( why are we getting all pussified ? )
Since when do we care what the smoke is called as long as it medicates ?

Do we cry about MINT COOKIES STRAIN ?
I am totally surprised growers on here " find it offensive ".

Let's just enjoy the bud ... Instead of wanking about it.

I dunno know BK. Your heart is in the right spot but I think you're jumping to conclusions here. I haven't seen anything posted by anyone that would lead me to believe they're a pedophile. We're just disagreeing over an add. I think the add is in poor taste, but that's where it ends. I see worse on a daily basis to be honest.

Man well this has turned into "YOU'RE A PEDOPHILE" "No you're a pedophile"

Folks wanna chill on that shit? it's a fucking cartoon it hardly makes anyone a pedophile. I don't think anyone is sitting there jacking it to a poor cartoon.

This trend that has taken off on the internet where folks put the worst possible labels on others that don't agree with them to discredit their point of view drives me NUTZ. Rapist, Racist, Misogynist, Pedophile, etc.etc. Are used to try and discredit the argument of the other person with childish name calling. Shit has become the norm in politics and people have seen it works so now they use the same stupid fucking tactics in internet conversations. It doesn't happen IRL cause people would be catching knuckles going around calling folks racist and rapists to their face . So instead people hide behind keyboards and cast these damning labels that the other person has to try and defend against or risk being viewed as an "ist"

Fucking stupid. Grow the fuck up. just because people don't agree with you doesn't mean they are a pedophile it means they don't agree with you...deal with it like an adult don't go throwing labels at folks, especially damning labels like child molester.

Do me a favor go start a debate with someone in real life, when they don't agree with you call them a pedophile or a racist and see how long it is before you get slapped the fuck up. it's fucking trolling, be better then that if you wouldn't do it in real life why is it OK to do during internet conversations?

Same shit unclebuck does going around calling everyone a racist. There are no doubt actual racists here but when he goes around calling everyone racists it destroys the meaning of the word.
