Still crying about your co workers and pay. Your were given the number and info for a better paying gig.

Life is what you make it. Don't like who you work with, switch.

What I'm saying is you now have the opportunity for a better job. If you don't take it, its your fault. So no need for crying.

Did you call the number offered to you? Ky is a right to work state and there are unions here. When I was working g construction you could work for 8-10 bucks an hour or you could work with a union outfit making 20-40 bucks an hour. This would be on the same job site. There might not be a roofers only union but I'm sure there are unions that cover roofing work.

My wife works for a company and the union is based in another state. It still protects her wages.

Please scroll down to Colorado Springs listing. It is union work all over Colorado.
The ball is in your court. There are unions in Colorado. Do your self a favor and call them.

OK. I will. But do me a solid and tell the truth. You are to sorry or scared to call. That company does work all over Colorado. You have a choice to work union or not. There is union work available to you all over the state. @panhead even said he made a good living with a sketchy past.

Dude that company is hiring all over your state. It doesn't matter how many companies do the same work.

My bad. I see you cry and whine about your job and when an opportunity falls in your lap you won't take it.

I've been convicted of a recieving stolen property. Granted it was a misdemeanor but I could let it stand in my way.

Oh and just to let you know I called that number. I told them I was on parole and couldn't work in CO Springs. They said no matter they had jobs all over and hire felons. Companies get tax breaks now a days for hiring felons.

I know your prideful and young. You know everything. Dude, just swallow your pride and make a phone call.

I know I may sound like a prick but I generally care about others. Just make a call. What could it hurt?

At less than $600 a week how can you not be looking for a new job ? Do you ever want health insurance not from the government ? do you not want a pension where you retire when your 52 & still bring home bank ? , for gods sake your mentor is 57 yrs old & still climbing around on roofs , that should show you where you'll be 30 yrs from now with scab companys , i didnt lift a finger or get dirty at all if i didnt want to for the last 20 yrs i was working in the union .

Tired of working around scabs that do shit work ??? Go union for a CAREER & work with men who do 100% quality you can be proud of if pride in your JOB means something .

What would keep you working for a company that pays you $575 a week but pays mexicans $30,000 a month ? It boggles our minds , i tried to help you become a real tradesman & you dont want it , ive done all i can do & am done here .

Its funny. I googled "Colorado roofers union.". The website with the info you gave was the very first listing.

Don't worry. I see they are hiring in east KY and TN. I'm going to call. In six months I'll be running my own crew.

See I'll go to the boss when he bids a job if I can have ten percent of any hours I save him. Six months of that and I can have anything I want.

@panhead.................. he's a dumbfuck and will be dead before he's 30
Good call , personally i couldnt care less if the kid continues to work for a scab outfit with zero finincial security , i dont like how he keeps asserting as fact there is not a union for roofers in Colorado , others in CO here read that shit & see his whopping $575 a week & are scared away from the trade , im 100% pro union & try to help these kids get gainfull employement where they have a real career .

Jesus bro you know how hard it is to make a real career with security for you & your families future , these kids get lied to by their scab anti union bosses & told they'll get worked a few weeks then laid off & other lies , look at this situation he's been shingeling several yrs & has no idea he even has a union , thats no accident .

Hopefully other members needing high paying work saw this thread & seen where they can get good paying jobs with a future , the company i worked for in mich is 10x the size of the one in CO & hires about 200 workers a year , maybe the link i posted to that company will help a member get a high paying union job , im just dumbfounded , i started out a roofer , then became a crane operator for more money , on a tip i got into sheet metal trades for more money again , then on another tip got into construction management for another jump in pay , its soo fukin easy .

That's a great idea.
You can lead a horse to water but you can make it drink.

For those that would use it, it could better their lives.

if the union there is anything like it is in maine atleast when it comes to drywall its not strong enough to work... and 99% of the guys are more of know a little about everything so when you see those guys hanging 20 sheets a day but then you have "sheetrockers" hanging 80-100 boards a day they are gonna take the production over union .... and the 20 sheets those guys hung are butched to shit and hung wrong breaking butts next to doors inatead of over, boxes pre cut with 1/2 inch gaps instead of routered...and the screws!! omg taping behind union hangers! omfg!! turning every damn screw cause they dont know to turn the cone a click or two here and there so the screws always set!
